Introducing Lanphier’s Class of 2024 Illinois State Scholars! Gladys Anima, Rylee Cass, Thurman Dasher, Tyler Hall, Olivia Menendez, and Robin Pitts. This honor is based on a senior's standardized test score combined with their GPA, and is approximately the top 10% of students in the state. All of these students are interested in furthering their studies and careers in STEM. They are amazing people and students.
They represent themselves and Lanphier well. We are beyond proud of their accomplishments! We know they will do well after they leave Lanphier! #lanphierunited

We were notified by First Student that due to a higher than normal shortage of bus drivers today, there will be buses ruing late to their scheduled bus stop. Please monitor your student's bus stops.
Also, all changes to buses have been entered into the First View App. You can use this app to track your student's bus and be informed of any bus number changes. We appreciate your patience and cooperation this morning.

Don't forget! THIS WEEKEND! Check out both the Girls and Boys Basketball teams, the Poms, and the Cheerleaders at the annual Orange and Black Alumni Game! Come join the fun on Nov. 11th at 12:30. $8 for adults and $5 for students.
This Thursday, November 9th, during 1st -3rd hour, students will be taking the practice PSAT and SAT on their laptops.
It is imperative that students arrive to school on time with their computers charged.
Instead of first hour, they will go directly to their testing room.
If students missed setting up their College Board account or have issues, they need to see Mrs. Powell as soon as possible BEFORE Thursday.
Morning CACC students will stay at LHS to take the practice test and be excused from CACC. Afternoon CACC students will still attend CACC. There will be no early dismissals during testing.
We look forward to a smooth testing session and hope to get everyone acclimated to online testing and ready for the PSAT and SAT! Best of luck to all students testing!

LHS Hispanic and Latino students attended the first "High School to College Mixer’
at University of Illinois-Springfield in celebration of Hispanic/ Lantix Heritage Month.
It was the Diversity Center's way of joining the conversation of helping students who will be transitioning to college life by providing access to higher education for first-generation students and students from historically underrepresented and marginalized groups. Students learned about the challenges they may face and the resources that are available to them at the college/university level.
Students, toured the campus, had interactive conversations with University students at fair tables and had lunch at the University Cafe.
