Join us on Wednesday, May 8, to celebrate Walk + Roll to School Day at Owen Marsh!
We encourage families to walk, bike, scooter, skate, and roll to school to celebrate all the cool things about staying active. Moving by our own power promotes a healthy mind, body, and planet, and helps kids show up.
If it's safe for you to do so, consider walking or rolling to school on Wednesday with family and friends.
Students are welcome on the playground as early as 8:20am if they walk or roll to school (please note, the building will not be open to students until 8:40am as usual). Parents and families are welcome to stick around- we'll have music and snacks!
Not able to walk or roll all the way to school? No problem! Try one of these fun alternatives with your child:
Walk to the bus stop
Park a few blocks away from school and walk the rest of the way
Join a Walking School bus or Bike I rain - safety in numbers will increase safety when crossing busy intersections (more info on other side!)
By encouraging regular physical activity for kids, we will help build strong bodies and healthy habits as they continue to grow. We hope you join us next week in celebrating healthy, active, and tun transportation choices!
We look forward to seeing you there!
