Parents: Car Rider Dismissal -Pick up Safety
If your student is a car rider or walker leaving the school at the end of the day, please be mindful of the big trucks going in and out of the back parking lot. I am going to tell students today to start using the sidewalk located on the right side (by the blacktop) for safety out back.
OME Basketball for the 2024 - 2025 season will begin in February.
Here are the teams.
Practice for both teams will be:
Thursday - Jan. 23 - - 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Thursday - Jan. 30 - 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.
Monday - February 3 - 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

PROJECT SCOPE: As you know District 186 regular calendar students do not return to school until Tuesday, January 7 (Balanced Calendar students return January 14th). However, our SCOPE program for SCOPE students will still be in operation as scheduled for Monday, January 6, but run condensed hours and locations:
Tomorrow Monday, January 6, 2025 - Scope will be open from 7:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.

PTO fall fund drive - We are halfway to our goal!

No Sell School!
Owen Marsh Elementary students are not asked to sell products through door to door fundraising, instead the PTO asks each family to provide a monetary donation at the start of the year and to support our activities throughout the year. Donations are used to support programming for students, materials for teachers, projects around the school, and to show appreciate to school staff throughout the year. The PTO suggests a $50 per family donation, but any amount is appreciated. Donations are tax-deductible (please email if you need a receipt). See the flyer for two easy ways to pay.

Lincoln Magnet School is hosting their informational open house for all 5th grade families this Thursday, November 7th from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
ATTENTION PARENTS!!!!!!
Miles of Smiles, Ltd. is providing preventive dental services at your school to
eligible children in all grades.
Services may include exam, cleaning, fluoride varnish,
and sealants if needed.
This also satisfies the dental requirement mandated by the State of Illinois
for school children (Kindergarten, 2nd, 6th, and 9th).
Please sign up your child today to receive this
wonderful service.
There is no cost to the family or school.
After the services are performed, the following entities will be billed where applicable:
IL Medicaid program, public/private grants, or private dental insurance.
Miles of Smiles, Ltd. will accept any reimbursement as the final payment (even if the
claim is denied). The families and the schools are never billed for any co-payments,
deductibles, or balances.
There is never any cost to the school or to the families.
