We’re excited to announce that registration for Project SCOPE, our before and after school care program for students K-5th is now open for the 2025-2026 school year! Project SCOPE provides a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for students outside of regular school hours. Whether you need care before school, after school, or both, SCOPE offers flexibility and support for busy families. Please join us for our first-ever district-wide Back-to-School event. This event is designed to bring families, educators, and community partners together to celebrate the start of a new school year—and we'd love to have you join us! Event Details: 📅 Date: Thursday, July 31, 2025 🕒 Time: 3:00–7:00 p.m. 📍 Location: Springfield Public Schools Administrative Office – 3063 Fiat Ave., Springfield, IL This family-friendly event will feature: School supply and backpack giveaways Live student performances Food and treats A variety of exhibitors sharing valuable information and resources for families and educators!

Tomorrow we are having snow cones, exotic animals visit, and beach out and read in the afternoon. Please have students bring a beach towel or blanket.

YEARBOOKS FOR SALE!!! Make sure to buy your Owen Marsh Memories this week. Student Council will be selling yearbooks at lunch. You can pay by cash or check. Yearbooks are $17.00 each.

Family Picnic: If you have a pop up tent and want to bring it for the picnic you can. We do not have shade on the playground and it is supposed to be hot Friday. :).

Friday, May 16th is Family Picnic Day! 11:30 - 1:00 - Bring your blankets, chairs, and games if you would like. The kids love their families being here, so please plan to attend. OME Families, Join us on Wednesday, May 7, to celebrate Walk + Roll to School Day at Owen Marsh! We encourage families to walk, bike, scooter, skate, and roll to school to celebrate all the cool things about staying active. Moving by our own power promotes a healthy mind, body, and planet, and helps kids show up awake and ready to learn at school.

This Thursday, May 8th we would like to have a pizza and awards celebration for the basketball and cheerleading students after school from 3:30 - 5:00. (Cheerleaders wear uniforms) Students will need transportation and be picked up at 5:00. Please let us know if you have any questions. ~ Mrs. Conaway

Make sure your student is ready for school this fall by taking them to the Walk-In Clinic for Kindergarten Immunizations at Sangamon County department of Public health!
