After school tutoring will be held every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30-4:30 pm in room 160.

Full Disclosure . . . . this year’s musical will be The Addams Family. Auditions will be held Monday, February 6th from 4:00 pm-9:00 pm in the Auditorium. Ms. Pinter has information where you can sign up for a time as well as the audition cuts. Be sure to look over the characterizations!

Crochet club meets every Thursday in Mrs. Taft’s room, 356. Come join us to crochet with others or to learn how!

Valentine Carnation Flowers will be sold during lunch in the commons through Feb. 10 or until we sell out. Flowers are $2.00 for one flower and  $3.00 for two flowers. Show that someone special you care and order them a flower. We accept cash, venmo and card. Flowers will be delivered to students on February 14 during 3rd and 5th hour. See Mrs. Devlin with questions.

Seniors be sure to constantly check the scholarship page and announcements on Canvas for opportunities. Scholarships highlighted this week are for those who are studying certain programs: Females in business based programs, studying nursing, health, or vet med,  special education, vocal music, and someone going into building construction. 

Attention all guys planning to try out for baseball- There will be a short ten minute informational meeting today right after school in the auditorium. Please plan to be there if you wish to try out for the team.  

Don’t forget to sign up for auditions for the spring musical, The Addams Family. Auditions will be held on Monday, February 6th from 4:00 - 9:00 pm in the Auditorium. EVERYONE will dance from 6:00 - 7:00, you will just need to sign up for the time you want to sing and read. Ms. Pinter has reading and singing cuts you will need. Out of the 655 entries submitted to the regional competition, the following students won 24 awards in the Scholastic Art Awards competition; Leo Havey, Sidney Miller, Katherine Minch, Mark Sirichote, Elizabeth Allen, Hongxiang Chen, Olivia Green, Kaylee Nguyen, Lauren Wilson, Mohammad Helali, Mackenzie Raymond, and Mark Sirichote. Kathrine Minch also won best in show for her sculpture. Winning artwork will be on exhibition being Sunday, February 5th at the Springfield Art Association.  The show will be up for approximately the next three weeks. Congratulations artists!!

There will be a GSA meeting after school Friday in room 366. 

The Junior Class is excited to invite everyone at SHS to the Sadie Hawkin's Dance which will be held February 18th from 8-10 pm in the Commons here at SHS. Tickets will be $10 a person and will go on sale the week of the dance. Guests from outside SHS will be allowed and guest forms will be available in the Guidance Office. Form must be filled out and returned to guidance by Thursday, February 16th by 3:30 pm.

Model UN will meet this Friday after school. Make sure you have your resolution mostly done before the meeting.
