Good morning, Springfield High! Today is January 27, 2023

Due to early game times at the Boys and Girls City Tournament on Friday January 27, 2023, Springfield High School students will be using the early dismissal schedule (Wednesday schedule) and will be dismissed at 2:17 p.m. on Friday (today).

Please note that school and city buses will depart at the regularly scheduled time of 3:17pm.

All bus riders will be allowed to stay at school and supervision will be provided from 2:17 - 3:17. 

We will stop selling City Tournament tickets at 12:30 today.

After school tutoring will be held every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30-4:30 pm in room 160.

The SHS Cheerleaders and the Scarlet Line Poms will be holding a joint youth clinic on February 4th from 8:30am-11:00am. Any students ages kindergarten through eighth grade are invited to attend the clinic and then perform at the afternoon basketball game that same day! Registration forms can be found in the main office or on the SHS cheerleading website. You must be registered and paid by January 23rd to be guaranteed a t-shirt. Contact Mrs. Dorr or Coach Moscardelli with questions.

Seniors it is the time of year where local scholarships become available. Be sure to constantly check the Class of 23 Canvas page for more opportunities. The Community Foundation for Land of Lincoln has 25 scholarships available to SHS students. Highlighted this week are four for students who demonstrate financial need. Check announcements and scholarship tab for all opportunities! 

Full Disclosure . . . . this year’s musical will be The Addams Family. Auditions will be held Monday, February 6th from 4:00 pm-9:00 pm in the Auditorium. Ms. Pinter has information where you can sign up for a time as well as the audition cuts. Be sure to look over the characterizations!

Boys and Girls track practice begins Monday January 30th. If you missed the informational meeting, please see Coach Cotner or Coach Hale this week to sign up for the season! 

There will be a softball open gym this Sunday from 12-1:30 in the SHS gymnasium.
