Good morning, Springfield High! Today is December 12, 2022

We remind all students and families that any kind of threat here at school or on social media is taken seriously and will result in serious consequences with the police and the school. Students - please use common sense and talk with your parents or an adult at school if you are struggling or having conflict with others.

All signed final exemption forms are due by 3:30 pm.

After school tutoring will resume after winter break. 

Tis the season to buy a yearbook! Prices will increase after Winter Break. Senior ads are on sale for 10% off with code "holidays" until Dec. 15. 

Attention Plant Club Members:  We will have a brief 15 minute meeting tomorrow right after school from 3:20-3:35 in Ms. Reinders room 516.  If you cannot attend, be sure to check the Plant Club Canvas page for important updates.  If you have any questions, email or stop in and see Ms. Reinders.

Interested in joining the boys tennis team for the 2022-23 season?  Please plan to attend an introductory team meeting tomorrow at 3:30 pm in the Auditorium. If you are unable to attend, please contact Coach Ingebrigtsen.

Congratulations to Megan & Ruth Becker for being selected to the large schools all area volleyball team. The team is made up of the top 12 players  from the central Illinois area.

Congratulations to the boys basketball team for their 59 to 44 win at Alton Saturday night. Brandenn Robinson led the way with 19 points and 10 rebounds while Paul Hartman scored 11 points with 16 rebounds. Carlos day chipped in 13 points as well.

Also, congratulations to the sophomore boys basketball team for their win over Lanphier on Friday night giving them a 3 and 0 record against the other city teams this season. Soriano Hayes led the way with 24 points while Valor Komolafe added 16 points.

Braeden Greer won a Fortnite tournament hosted by Maryville University called Deck the Walls. Winning 3 of the 6 games, he took home $400 prize money for winning the event. He defeated some of the highest regarded high school Fortnite players in the Midwest including Scrubaroonie and Phenom.

Springfield High Wrestling had a good showing at Pontiacs Tournament taking 7th place out of 16 teams.  Placing for the Senators was Kaden Rios placed 3rd and scored 16.5 team points, Gabe Ruvalcaba placed 2nd and scored 22.0 team points, Alex Souva placed 4th and scored 13.0 team points, Armani Emery placed 2nd and scored 22.0 team points.Keyshaun Harris  placed 5th and scored 17.0 team points, and Hunter Reid placed 4th and scored 13.0 team points.
