After school tutoring will be held every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. in room 160

The Superintendent’s Student Roundtable is now accepting applications for the 2022-23 school year. The group provides a forum for youth to strengthen unity between all local high schools, and the community. Applications can be found at: https://forms.gle/iFToPEetKcRdkQfk9.  Returning members are asked to complete the form, also. 

All juniors and seniors are invited to the College Fair Field Trip at the State Fairgrounds on October 5th. Students provide their own transportation and are dismissed after third hour. Parent permission slips must be turned in by Friday, and students must be passing their afternoon classes to attend. Juniors - use the green permission slip, Seniors - use the pink permission slip. Permission forms are available in the Guidance Office, room 104.

The 2022 SHS Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 15th. Doors open at 6:15 and all students must pass through a search and metal detectors to gain entry. If an SHS student is bringing an outside guest, the proper form must be filled out in its entirety and brought to the dance that evening. No exceptions on the form. All guests must have valid picture identification. Forms are yellow and available in the Guidance Office, room 104.

The Chess club will be meeting after school from 3:17 to 4:15 in Mr. Hull’s Room 216 Friday to play and teach Chess! Everyone is welcome, regardless of skill level! We hope to see you there!

Do you like crafts and sewing? Well, Sew Cool Crafters Club is the place for you. The first informational meeting will take place on Monday, October 3rd in room 406, Mrs. Koen's room, from 3:30-4:30. There will be snacks and music provided and we will go over some of the amazing fun things we will be doing throughout the year. Contact Grant Kesler or Kiersten Hutchins if you have any questions. Back by popular demand, Art Club is back and will be meeting Tuesday October 4 in room 320 from 3:17-4:30. Everyone is welcome. Come learn about the club and make some art to let us learn a little bit about you and your artistic style. Hope to see you there.

21/22 yearbooks will be available for purchase in the Main Office, after school ONLY for $85.

School picture retakes are on October 19th.  

October 19th seniors pictures will be from 2:30-3:30 in the Auditorium.

The boys golf team advanced to Sectionals for a 2nd straight year.  Jake Baldin shot 73 to tie for medalist.  Jake won the playoff hole to earn him medalist for the regional.  Peyton Woods carded a 75.  James Oh added a 79 and Julian Valenti fired a 81.  The boys play Coyote Creek on Monday.  

The Springfield High School Girls Tennis Junior Varsity Team had a strong showing against Sacred Heart-Griffin High School yesterday with a 5-4 victory.  TeTee Jallah, Nora Jasim, Shelva Sewavi and Valentina Osgood claimed victories in singles while the doubles team of Kara Frazier/Maria Anselment was victorious.  The girls will celebrate Senior Night today against Jacksonville High School.
