Calling all wizards actors, artists, stage crew, or just people who like to root for an underdog.  Bring your wands, friends, and  solon energy. Be ready for the sorting hat. Will you be a Brave, Smart, Snake, or Puff as we begin our magical coming of age adventure into wizardhood? An  informational meeting will be Friday August 26 after school in the auditorium for the SHS production of Puffs, Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic,. Stop by Mrs. Eaton’s room 366 or see Arianna Colletti or Grace Gauvin with ?s.

There will be an informational meeting for the 2022-20223 Scholastic Bowl team 6:30 tomorrow in Mrs Eaton’s room 366. If you are unable to make it stop by for info.

The 2021-22 yearbook is available for pick up today outside the main office, from 2:30 - 3:30.

The SHS Dungeons and Dragons Club will hold an informational meeting tomorrow from 3:30-4:30 in the library.  All current students are welcome, and no previous experience is necessary.  Stop by the library to talk to Mr. Havener if you have questions, or if you can’t make it to the meeting.

The ultimate frisbee club will have their first meeting of the year on Friday after school unti; 5:00. We will meet in room 521 and then move out into the field. so dress for the weather and bring water.

If you are interested in volunteering for your community, consider joining the Habitat for Humanity club. There will be an informational meeting held after school on Thursday September 1st in Mr. Lightfoot's room, room 330. You must be 16 or older to volunteer.

If you are interested in having lunch with your friends and playing games like Risk, Cataan, Ticket to Ride, or Axis and Allies you should join Historical Game Club. We meet during both A and B lunches Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in Room 328. Everyone is welcome.

Congratulations to the varsity volleyball team who won in straight sets, 25-3 25-10 against Decatur Eisenhower. The Senators were lead by Ruth Becker with 7 kills, Araya Garrison with 5 kills & 2 blocks & Megan Becker with 15 assists & 4 aces. The JV & Freshmen teams also won in straight sets.

The soccer team opened conference play with a 9-0 victory over Decatur. Drew Dejaynes, Ian Lamsargis, Ty Dyson, Suliman Yafai, Evan Carrell, Cooper Burke, Faron Harmony and Bruno Rosas scored for the Senators. Joe Brudnak and Jeffrey Sturm recorded the shut-out.
