  • “Students, if you need help with your class work or homework, After School Tutoring is held in Room 220 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m."


  • Students, don’t forget: The Peace Room is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:30-2pm to any student needing support and a safe space to assist with mental health concerns. Check your Canvas to sign up or ask Mrs. Coley!

  • LLCC Financial Aid office will be offering 1 FAFSA night for Springfield Public Schools District #186 on December 18th from 5:30-7pm at Southeast High School 2350 East Ash Street.  LLCC Financial Aid staff will assist students of all District #186 high schools in completing the 2025-2026 FAFSA.  If possible, students should complete their FSA ID prior to the event, and guardians have their 2023 tax information available.

  • GSA will be hosting its annual holiday cookie decorating Friday 12/7 after school in Mrs Eaton’s room 366. All are welcome.

  • The Springfield Capitols Esports Team is holding tryouts at LHS in the Esports lab all of next week and the next. Check for the flyers around the school and in stairwells or ask Christian Schneider for details. If you play Splatter 3, Apex Legends, Overwatch, Pokemon Unite, Call of Duty Black Ops 6, or League of Legends, come and try out for the team. Everyone is welcome.

  • Attention performers there will be an informational meeting for Poetry Out Loud Monday Dec 9 in Mrs. Eaton’s room 366. This is a great opportunity for seasoned and novice performers.

While you get to devour tasty salads, sandwiches and treats, the junior class gets money! So grab your bestie, your crush, or Grandma... everyone is invited and appreciated. 

  • The chess club will be meeting this Friday in room 216.

  • Help pen in the box spread holiday cheer. Candygrams will be sold today during both lunch shifts and delivered on Dec 17th. Money raised will support pen in the box donations to 186 elementary schools.

  • Interested in joining the boys tennis team for the 2024-25 season?  Please plan to attend an introductory team meeting on Tuesday, December 10 at 3:30pm in the Auditorium. If you are unable to attend, please contact Coach Ingebrigtsen.

  • Congratulations to Elijah Wade for being selected to the All Tournament Team for the Thanksgiving Tournament in Lincoln

  • Springfield High School came away with a road victory last night final score 64-50. Elijah Wade 21 points 8 rebounds, Jaiyden Wilson 20 points 4 steals and Valor Komolafe 11 points 7 rebounds. This was a total team effort. Other notable players were Noah Wade, Ed, Horton and others. Next game will be Saturday 4:30 p.m. against Decatur MacArthur..
