Good morning, Springfield High!  Today is May 23, 2024

Attendance Office Phone Number - 525-3111

Students, If you're not feeling well during school hours, please visit the nurse's office instead of texting your parent directly to go home. Our nurse will then assess your condition and contact your parent for you. Reminder that phones are not allowed during class time. Not following this procedure creates a disruption for many offices as well as adults in the building. Thanks for following the procedure that is in place and helping to keep the school running smoothly!

If you park on or near SHS property - LOCK YOUR CARS AT ALL TIMES. Do not leave your doors unlocked or windows down no matter what! Be safe, be smart and be aware!

Students - this is a reminder that dress code applies to all students this week. Pajama pants and slippers are not allowed, even during final exams. Thank you for following dress code!

Boys basketball will be hosting an open gym for perspective student athletes on Saturday from 11:00 am-1:00 pm in the Main Gym. This is open to all interested parties 9-12th grades. All players are to arrive 15 minutes prior to start time.  Any questions feel free to contact Coach Warfield.

The Senator Softball team will play for a Regional Championship tonight at 4:30PM at Rochester High School. The game was originally scheduled for Friday but has been moved to tonight. It's 5 dollar admission and gates open at 3:45PM. Come out and support the girls!

The baseball team saw its season come to an end last night at the hand of the Braves from Mt. Zion by a 1 to nothing score in the Regional Semi-Final at Chatham. The fellas gave a great effort, but they were outplayed by the better team. Highlights included an outstanding effort on the mound by the combo of Brody Scheffler, Sam Hartl, Enrico Veach, and Seth Impson who allowed only one run. Veach came on to put out the fire 3 separate times and did so in outstanding fashion, but it wasn’t enough as the offense simply met its match in the pitcher for the Braves who allowed only 2 hits from the Senators- one from Impson and another from Ethan Rutter. The Boys of Spring surpassed pre-season expectations by winning 15 games, finishing 4th in the CS8 with a 7 and 3 record, and being City Co-Champs with a 4 and 1 record against those in town. Well done, fellas. Best of luck to the Lady Senator Softball Team in their Regional Title game today in Rochester. Go get ‘em, girls!

And now the Pledge of Allegiance!

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
