Students, If you're not feeling well during school hours, please visit the nurse's office instead of texting your parent directly to go home. Our nurse will then assess your condition and contact your parent for you. Reminder that phones are not allowed during class time. Not following this procedure creates a disruption for many offices as well as adults in the building. Thanks for following the procedure that is in place and helping to keep the school running smoothly!
After School Tutoring is held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week in room 160 from 3:30 pm-4:30 pm
Lunchtime tutoring is available for any student on either lunch shift in room 124.

Prom is May 18th at the Artisan’s Building from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. with doors closing at 8:00 p.m. After Prom is at SHS from 10:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. with doors closing at 10:45 p.m. If juniors and seniors are bringing a guest to Prom or After Prom, permission forms are available in the guidance office, and due by Thursday, May 16th at 3:30 p.m. Forms must be filled out entirely and turned in on time for guests to be considered. Furthermore, all guests must have a photo ID with them to be admitted to either event. Guests must arrive with and remain with their date at all times for both prom and after prom.
Boys basketball will be hosting open gyms for perspective student athletes on May 11th, 18th and 25th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Main Gym. This is open to all interested parties 9-12th grades. All players are to arrive 15 minutes prior to start time. Any questions feel free to contact Coach Warfield.
Volleyball - There will be a meeting in the cafeteria after school Wednesday, May 15th for anyone who is interested in playing volleyball next year. Summer information and schedules will be provided at the meeting. Meeting will start promptly at 2:30 so that spring sport athletes can get to their practices on time. Please don't be late. Then joining the Newspaper class is for you! You must apply and be selected to join the class because spots are limited. Pick up an application from Negele in room 362, and return by Friday, May 10th.
7 & Senators auditions will be on Thursday, May 16th at 4:00 pm in the Auditorium. You will need to sing the National Anthem a cappella. We will also teach you part of a song to listen for blend and part singing.

The Senator softball team picked up a big conference win over Rochester last night, 5 to 1. The bats came alive in the top of the 4th inning with Milan Robinson leading the inning off with a hit, followed by Mia Volpert and a Kendall Knauer. Emma Scheffler drove in the first run with a sacrifice fly to right field. Megan Bullock then came up and ripped a 2 run double to right field. Bella Pagliara also had 2 hits and an RBI and Rachel Becker led the way with 3 hits herself. Volpert notched the pitching win going the distance, allowing just 1 run and striking out 9 Rockets. Good job ladies!
The freshman sophomore boys track and field team finished 4th at the Lanphier Fresh/Soph invite last night. 3rd place finishers for SHS were: Christopher Taylor in the 400, Collin Nolte in the 1600, and Elijah Taylor in the 300 hurdles. 2nd place finishers were: Kishan Ugrappa in the 800, and Armanze Lewis in the shot put. 1st place finishers were: Kenneth Banta-Taylor in the long jump, and the 4x400 relay team of Mekhi Newman, Declan Brown, Ben Walden, and DeAndre Brown. The boys next compete on Thursday at the Central State Eight Conference track meet at Southeast. Field events start at 4:15 and running events start at 5:30.
Attention all boys and girls interested in running cross country this fall. There will be an informational meeting in the drivers ed. room, 128 on Thursday, May 16th after school. The Springfield High School Boys Tennis Team scored an impressive 6-3 victory over Sacred Heart-Griffin yesterday for the team’s Senior Night. At singles, Noah Williams, James Oh, Dawson Strauch and Rohan Ugrappa claimed victories. In doubles action, the teams of James Oh/Krish Khurana and Dawson Strauch/Matthew Sommer won. In other action, the doubles teams of Shashi Bangarulingam/Aum Nimavat, Chris Scherschel/Morris Fairlee, Olof Bronas/Jonas Meier, Remi Lynn/Will Hovey, Eamon Bommarito/Eamon Mahoney, John Eichinger/Will Eichinger, Arth Vyas/Remi Lynn and Cooper Dykes/Chris Scherschel emerged victorious. Other senior players included Hasan Asad, Bruce Beem, Butch Cross, Danny First, Josh Gujjarlapudi, Charlie Gunderson, James Gonko, Frank Sluga, Leo Sommers, Lucas Trimmer and Tadhg Wilhite. Congratulations on a great team performance, and a special congratulations to our 2024 seniors!
