Good morning, Springfield High!  Today is May 7, 2024

Attendance Office Phone Number - 525-3111

Students, If you're not feeling well during school hours, please visit the nurse's office instead of texting your parent directly to go home. Our nurse will then assess your condition and contact your parent for you. Reminder that phones are not allowed during class time. Not following this procedure creates a disruption for many offices as well as adults in the building. Thanks for following the procedure that is in place and helping to keep the school running smoothly!

The Springfield High School Boys Tennis Team scored an impressive 6-3 victory over Glenwood yesterday.  At singles, Noah Williams, Krish Khurana, Dawson Strauch, James Oh and Matthew Sommer claimed victories.  In doubles action, James Oh/Krish Khurana won.  In Junior Varsity play, the team of Jonas Meier/Leo Sommers scored multiple wins at doubles.

The baseball team finally caught the big fish in the pond with a 5 to 1 upset win over Rochester in CS8 play yesterday, playing their best overall game to date. There were many contributors to the cause, starting with a stellar performance on the mound by Seth Impson who threw 5 and two thirds innings of shutout ball, recording 7 strikeouts and 2 walks, while allowing only 4 hits. Enrico Veach paced the offense with 3 hits including a double, a triple, and an RBI, while also closing for Impson to finish the contest. Other stars for the day included Arthur Davison with a big 2-run single in the 1st to give the Solons a 3-nothing lead. Tyler Elliott and Sam Hartl each added two hits apiece with Hartl adding an RBI for the 5th run. Next up is a non-conference rematch with the Rockets set for 4:30 at their place on Wednesday. Many congrats also go to Impson and Veach who each signed their intent to continue their baseball careers in college at Lincoln Land and Wabash Valley.

And now the Pledge of Allegiance!

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
