Good morning, Springfield High!  Today is March 25, 2024

Attendance Office Phone Number - 525-3111

Students, If you're not feeling well during school hours, please visit the nurse's office instead of texting your parent directly to go home. Our nurse will then assess your condition and contact your parent for you. Reminder that phones are not allowed during class time. Not following this procedure creates a disruption for many offices as well as adults in the building. Thanks for following the procedure that is in place and helping to keep the school running smoothly!

Students who ride the CACC morning bus.  The buses will be leaving the school at 8:10 am every morning.  Don’t be late getting on your bus.

After School Tutoring is held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week in room 160 from 3:30 pm-4:30 pm

Lunchtime tutoring is available for any student on either lunch shift in room 124.

If you park on or near SHS property - LOCK YOUR CARS AT ALL TIMES. Do not leave your doors unlocked or windows down no matter what! Be safe, be smart and be aware!

We will also be choosing our next book, so recommendations are needed! As always the meeting is Monday after school in Ms. Negele’s room 362 from 3:30-4:15. Everyone is welcome and we hope to see you there!

The baseball team played a solid game on Saturday defeating Champaign Central by the score of 3 to 2 to win 3 of its first 4 games. Carter Kruse paced the offense with 2 of the team’s 4 hits. Seth Impson, Ethan Rutter, and Brody Scheffler each drove in a run. Impson started the scoring with a long double to plate Kruse. Enrico Veach earned the win on the mound in relief of a strong start by Rutter and a good inning from Scheffler. Next up is a 4:30 CS8 rematch against Glenwood on Tuesday at 4:30 at Robin Roberts Stadium.

Tonight is 8th grade Sports and Activities Night in the Commons! Join us at 6:00 p.m. to learn about sports, clubs and activities at Springfield High School for next year. Some coaches and clubs meet this summer so you can sign up with your email or phone number. Current students who are in sports and clubs should check with their coach or sponsor to see if they need assistance tonight at the table.

The boys track and field team had one athlete compete at the indoor state meet on Saturday.  Sophomore DeAndre Brown ran the 400 at the indoor state meet where he finished 11th overall after winning his heat.  Congrats to DeAndre.
