Students who ride the CACC morning bus.  The buses will be leaving the school at 8:10 am every morning.  Don’t be late getting on your bus.

After School Tutoring is held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week in room 160 from 3:30 pm-4:30 pm

Lunchtime tutoring is available for any student on either lunch shift in room 124.

If you park on or near SHS property - LOCK YOUR CARS AT ALL TIMES. Do not leave your doors unlocked or windows down no matter what! Be safe, be smart and be aware!

Any students in 9th -11th grade who are interested in participating in a sport during the 2024-2025 school year, should find and complete the athletic interest survey on CANVAS.  This will allow coaches to know who is interested in joining a team, and get you information regarding summer programming and weight-lifting.

Hey seniors! Don't forget to vote for senior superlatives, submit your senior quote, and tell your family and friends to buy a senior ad. See the announcement on your class Canvas page and read the directions carefully on each survey. The deadline for superlatives and quotes is March 1! See Mrs. Roan in 370 with any questions. 

Try-outs for the girls soccer team will be Monday, February 26th through Friday, March 1st 3:45-5:15 pm. The try-outs will be held at New Street field. Student will need an updated physical and athletic permit card to participate.

Interested in joining the boys tennis team for the 2023-24 season?  Please plan to attend an introductory team meeting on Monday, February 26 from 3:30-4:30pm in the Auditorium. If you are unable to attend, please contact Coach Ingebrigtsen.

Kramer is taking a group to UIS for a college fair and career break out sessions. More info is on Canvas. Forms are in the guidance office and due today!

Future Teachers Club will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 27th from 3:30-4:30 in room 370. At this meeting, we will have a special guest speaker. Come learn from an experienced educator in the district. All are welcome - hope to see you there!

Attention Baseball Players- You may pick up next week's tryout and practice schedules for baseball from Coach Dorr in Room 326. You must have a current physical and Athletic Permit card on file in order to try out next Monday. 

Hey readers and besties! Book Club is meeting on Monday, February 26th to discuss our latest read— The Love Hypothesis! We will also share suggestions and vote on our next book. Everyone is invited— if you have read this book, want to read this book, need book suggestions or just like hanging out with fellow book dragons, Book Club is the place to be! We’ll see you on Monday in Ms. Negele’s room (362) from 3:30-4:15.

Model UN will meet after school today until 4:30 p.m.

Annie Easley became an hero in STEM who left a lasting legacy in aeronautical engineering. Easley had to pave her own way through a field that was dominated by men and white people. She became her own advocate. During her attendance at NASA, she was known as a "human computer," because aptitude for mathematics. This ver aptitude was crucial to the development of software for groundbreaking practices like the energy conversion systems and the Centaur rocket stage.
