Racial barriers were demolished by the devoted American physicist and NASA astronaut Ronald McNair, who epitomized the power of his black identity. McNair was born in 1950 and surmounted numerous challenges to earn a Ph.D. in physics. Resilience was illustrated by McNair's path, which paralleled the difficulties encountered by various Black individuals. His inclusion in NASA, as a representation of diversity, brought attention to the effectiveness of racial barrier-breaking. Despite being tragically lost in the 1986 Challenger accident, McNair's legacy lives on as a reminder of the value of diversity and representation in the field of space exploration.

There will be an informational softball meeting directly after school on Thursday in room 112 for any girl interested in trying out this year. This meeting will last 5 minutes.

And now the Pledge of Allegiance!

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
