Happy Black History Month Senators! Throughout the month of February the International Union of Springfield High will present a daily black figure in history that many may not know about.  Jane Bolin, an authentic pioneer born in 1908, had been the first Black woman to successfully graduate from Yale Law School. Her historic journey continued in 1939, when she was appointed the first Black female judge in the United States, dedicating herself to juvenile justice and family law. Bolin campaigned vigorously against inequality, leaving a lasting impression on history with her relentless dedication to breaking down barriers and supporting justice for vulnerable populations.

Hey readers! Our second Book Club meeting is Monday, February 5. Once again, it will be held in Ms. Negele’s room, room 362, from 3:30-4:15.  Our book of this month will be chosen then so bring your suggestions!  Anyone who couldn’t make the first meeting is still welcome to join. Hope to see you there!

And now the Pledge of Allegiance!

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
