After School Tutoring is held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week in room 160 from 3:30 pm-4:30 pm

Lunchtime tutoring is available for any student on either lunch shift in room 124.

If you want to purchase single game, season, or year-long passes to Springfield High School events, keep your eyes open for Go Fan Ticketing posters in the Commons, Cafeteria and Annex.  You can scan the QR Code, or go to GoFan.com to purchase you SHS tickets today.

If you park on or near SHS property - LOCK YOUR CARS AT ALL TIMES. Do not leave your doors unlocked or windows down no matter what! Be safe, be smart and be aware!

CACC will have an Open House on January 25th from 5-7.  This is a great opportunity to tour the labs, meet the teachers, talk with current students, and see if CACC is where you want to be for your Junior and Senior year.

We continue with our City Tournament spirit this week and thank you for supporting our students during this special time! Due to early game times at the Boys and Girls City Tournament on Friday, January 19, 2024, Springfield High School students will be following the early dismissal schedule and will be dismissed at 2:17 p.m. on Friday. Please note that school and city buses will depart at the regularly scheduled time of 3:17 p.m. All bus riders will be allowed to stay at school and supervision will be provided from 2:17-3:17 pm. City tickets are available for purchase in the main office.  The schedule for tickets sales are listed below:

Tickets purchased at SHS are $7 and will be CASH ONLY sales
If purchased at the BOS Center tickets will be $8.

National Honor Society is ready to admit new members for the spring of 2024. Current 11th and 12th graders, who are not currently members of NHS, can apply. A list of eligible applicants is posted on Canvas, outside the Main Office, and outside rooms 153A and 356. Applications can be picked up with Mr. Kramer in 153A and will be due Thursday, Feb. 29. Any questions see Mrs. Taft or Mr. Kramer. 

Seniors it is the time of year where local scholarships become available. Be sure to constantly check the Class of 24 Canvas page for more opportunities. The Community Foundation for Land of Lincoln has 25 scholarships available to SHS students. Highlighted this week are four for students who demonstrate financial need. Check announcements and scholarship tab for all opportunities! 

Seniors, FAFSA is now fully open! FAFSA is a graduation requirement and the application or the waiver must be completed prior to graduation. Check Canvas announcements for more info. We will also host FAFSA completion nights on Jan. 25 and Feb 22 to assist you in the process. See Mr. Kramer with questions. 

City t-shirts are in! If you ordered a set, you make pick them up in the Commons during both lunch shifts. There are a limited amount of extra sets, so if you missed the deadline, see Mr Kramer if you’d like to purchase one of the extras. Extras will be first to pay gets them.

Attention all boys and girls interested in track and field. Official practice for the 2024 season begins on Monday January 22nd at 3:30 in the annex! Please see Coach Cotner or Coach Hale if you have any questions, you can also find all information on the SHS track website! 

There will be no D&D Club today after school in order for students to attend the City Tournament.
