After School Tutoring will resume on Monday, January 8th from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m in Rm. 160.
Lunchtime tutoring is available for any student on either lunch shift in room 124.

Anyone interested in being in the spring musical please come to the student/parent meeting on Monday, January 8th at 6:00 pm in the Auditorium. You will have a chance to meet the staff. Musical synopsis and character descriptions will be available as well as song and reading cuts for auditions. Dates will be given for auditions, call-backs, cast meeting, read-through, and first rehearsal. There will be time for Q & A.
The Mayors Youth Council is having a hygiene drive. Supplies can be given to Josephine Oke or Caitlyn Turner. Supplies needed are deodorant, toothpaste/toothbrushes, brushes/combs, lotion, conditioner/shampoo, body wash, nail clippers, feminine products, floss, bandaids/bandages, hair ties, chapstick, tissue, disinfecting wipes, baby wipes, diapers, baby bottles, and blankets. All donations will go to Fifth Street Renaissance.
Springfield High school will assemble a team to participate in Black History Month district history bowl competition. If you are interested in competing with SHS with Black History trivia, please email Mr. Kramer at bkramer@sps186.org

Interested in joining the boys tennis team for the 2023-24 season? Please plan to attend an introductory team meeting on Tuesday, January 9th at 3:30pm in the Auditorium. If you are unable to attend, please contact Coach Ingebrigtsen.
CACC will have an Open House on January 25th from 5-7. This is a great opportunity to tour the labs, meet the teachers, talk with current students, and see if CACC is where you want to be for your Junior and Senior year.
Model UN will meet on Friday after school until 4:30 p.m

There will be a softball open gym on Sunday from 12:30 - 2 pm in the SHS gym for any girl interested. See Coach Koger in room 112 with questions.
Juniors and seniors - we have a very limited number of parking spots available for second semester. If you would like to be considered in the second semester parking lottery draw, please sign up in the main office by the end of the day on Monday, January 8th.
Robotics will meet Saturday at 10:30 for the challenge kickoff. Meet in room 110 .
The Lady Senator basketball team started out the New Year with a win against Normal U-High 51-26. SHS was led in scoring by Keziah Toran with 14 points, Zakiyah Lott added 9 and Malorie Harris chipped in 8. Next up for SHS will be a home game next Tuesday against Champaign Central.
