Students: We have too many tardies! Please know we expect you to be on time for class!  Tardy sweeps have begun, which mean if you are in the hallways without a pass, instead of being in class, you will meet with an administrator and receive consequences. 

Final Exam Exemption forms are available in the guidance office. If you meet all criteria through December 15th, you may be able to exempt two or three of your exams, depending on your grade, your quarter grades, and your attendance. Pick up the correct grade level form before or after school, or during passing period. See an administrator with any questions.

Tomorrow is the last day of tutoring and tutoring will resume third quarter.

Lunchtime tutoring is available for any student on either lunch shift in room 124.

If you park on or near SHS property - LOCK YOUR CARS AT ALL TIMES. Do not leave your doors unlocked or windows down no matter what! Be safe, be smart and be aware!



21st Century students - the last day of 21st Century this semester is tomorrow. Please make arrangements as you will need to leave the building on Friday the 15th, and that 21st Century is NOT available during final exams.

The boys tennis meeting has been cancelled for today.

The Mayors Youth Council is having a hygiene drive from now until January.  Supplies can be given to Josephine Oke or Caitlyn Turner. Supplies needed are deodorant, toothpaste/toothbrushes, brushes/combs, lotion, conditioner/shampoo, body wash, nail clippers, feminine products, floss, bandaids/bandages, hair ties, chapstick, tissue, disinfecting wipes, baby wipes, diapers, baby bottles, and blankets. All donations will go to Fifth Street Renaissance. 

Springfield High school will assemble a team to participate in Black History Month district history bowl competition. If you are interested in competing with SHS with Black History trivia, please email Mr. Kramer at bkramer@sps186.org

Poms practice for today and Friday have been cancelled.

Boys Basketball - Final score 68-31 Springfield over Bloomington .  Impson 22 points  two threes; Wilson 15 points 3 steals; Wade 9 points 6 rebounds; Scheffler 9 points three 3s; Hartman 7 points 11 rebounds; Kevin Crews 5 Blocks 

The Lady Senator basketball team got beat by Chatham 43 to 33. SHS was led in scoring by Keziah Toran with 12 points and Emma Scheffler with 7. Next up for SHS is a game Friday at Jacksonville.
