Students: We have too many tardies! Please know we expect you to be on time for class! Tardy sweeps have begun, which mean if you are in the hallways without a pass, instead of being in class, you will meet with an administrator and receive consequences.
After School Tutoring is held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week in room 160 from 3:30 pm-4:30 pm.
Lunchtime tutoring is available for any student on either lunch shift in room 124.
If you want to purchase single game, season, or year long passes to Springfield High School events, keep your eyes open for Go Fan Ticketing posters in the Commons, Cafeteria and Annex. You can scan the QR Code, or go to GoFan.com to purchase you SHS tickets today.
If you park on or near SHS property - LOCK YOUR CARS AT ALL TIMES. Do not leave your doors unlocked or windows down no matter what! Be safe, be smart and be aware!
The Scarlet Line Dance Team will be holding a fall tryout for all students. Everyone is encouraged to attend the informational meeting on Monday, November 13th at 3:30 in the Commons. Tryouts will be held on Wednesday, November 15th at 2:45 in the Commons. If you have any questions please contact Coach Shannon Bellini at scarlet.line@yahoo.com. We hope to see you there!

In November, Be A Senator is highlighting the value of gratitude. Senators show gratitude by having a grateful attitude and being thankful toward others. Studies show that teens who practice gratitude daily can improve social connections, increase their self-esteem and reduce depression and anxiety. This week challenge yourself each day to name 3 things for which you are grateful. Thank you for Being A Senator!

Congratulations to our yearbook students! Our 2022-2023 yearbook was awarded the Walworth Gallery of Excellence. Your hard work has paid off and you produced an amazing book!
Scholastic bowl kicked off its season at the annual novice tournament for new players. SHS went undefeated and Vanshika Gunda placed first with her 84 points per game. Sebastian Moore and Ben Perry contributed valuable point to the sweep. Way to go freshman.
Pen in the Box, will have short informational meeting, today after school. Pen in the Box provides needed school and personal items to local students Pen in the box is a great opportunity to make a difference for sps186 students without a huge time commitment. If you can’t make the meeting see Rose Unal or Mrs Eaton.
The girls’ swimming and diving team ended their season on Saturday at the Sectional Meet. The girls placed fifth overall. Abby Myers, Mary O’Brien, Lila Martin and Elizabeth Sievers teamed up to place 4th in the 200 free relay and 6th in the 400 freestyle relay. Mia Heinzel placed 5th in diving and Reese Jennings placed 6th in diving. Congratulations on a great season and a special thank you and best wishes to the seniors for everything you have put into the team over the years!
Feminist club will meet tomorrow in Mrs. Taft’s room 356 after school.
Boys Basketball - JV and Varsity tryouts 6-9 pm tonight and Freshman tryouts tomorrow from 6-8 pm.
Robotics will not meet after school.
Today is the first practice for boys and girls wrestling. Please meet in the annex after school to help get wrestling mats.
