Students: We have too many tardies! Please know we expect you to be on time for class!  Today we will begin tardy sweeps, which mean if you are in the hallways without a pass, instead of being in class, you will meet with an administrator and receive consequences. 

After School Tutoring is held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week in room 160 from 3:30 pm-4:30 pm.

Lunchtime tutoring is available for any student on either lunch shift in room 124.

If you want to purchase single game, season, or year long passes to Springfield High School events, keep your eyes open for Go Fan Ticketing posters in the Commons, Cafeteria and Annex.  You can scan the QR Code, or go to GoFan.com to purchase you SHS tickets today.

We have started AP exam sign-ups.  There are two steps to sign up for the AP Exams.  First, students need to join each AP course on myap.collegeboard.org and register for the exam.  Second, students will need to sign-up/pay in Guidance.   The due date to order an exam is Monday, November 6th.  After this date, there will be a $40 late sign-up fee.  Exams will begin in May of 2024.  Each exam is $97. Cash or check will be accepted in Guidance.  Checks can be made out to Springfield High School.  There is a reduced price for eligible students.  Questions? If you were interested in the 10th grade CACC field trip, we are full and are no longer handing out permission slips.  Any student who turns in a permission slip at this point will be on the waitlist.  Remember, you must be passing the classes you will miss in order to attend.

Attention artistic Solons! The yearbook staff needs your help to design music-related graphics (full-page, no music notes). If you submit a design, you may be featured in this year's yearbook! Please e-mail your designs to Mrs. Roan or submit them in-person to room 370 by Nov. 1. All submissions will be entered into a raffle for a free yearbook. Submissions must be school appropriate. See Mrs. Roan or any yearbook staffer with any questions. 

If you park on or near SHS property - LOCK YOUR CARS AT ALL TIMES. Do not leave your doors unlocked or windows down no matter what! Be safe, be smart and be aware!

GSA is hosting a showing of the Corpse Bride tomorrow after school. Snacks provided.

Are you interested in learning about construction management or civil engineering ?  Crawford Murphy and Tilly is hosting a presentation Saturday, November 4 from 11:30-1:30.  Stop by the guidance office for more information.

Atención Spanish Club! There will be a mandatory meeting after school tomorrow in room 260. Please attend if you are able. Afterwards, we will be watching 'The Book of Life.’  We hope to see you there!”

Spanish Club members are also welcome to participate in making an ofrenda after school on Friday, November 3rd. Please sign up in room 260 if you would like to participate. ¡Gracias!

On Tuesday, the volleyball team lost in regionals 25-16 20-25 23-25 against Rochester. The team played their best match of the year but came up a little short. The team was lead by Eva Hamann with 12 kills, Lila Ambrose with 5 blocks, Madison Clark with 14 assists ,Lily Lambert & Ruth Becker with a combined 34 digs. What a great team effort.

Sophomores, Jostens will be back on Tuesday, October 31st from 7:30 am-12:30 pm and Wednesday, November 1st in the Commons to collect your class ring order forms.  Be sure to bring your completed order forms and down payment on Tuesday.  Any Sophomore who missed the Jostens meeting, please stop by the Guidance Office to pick up your ring design kit.

Model UN will meet until 4:30 on Friday. Bring a charged Chromebook as all final resolutions are due by the end of the meeting.
