Good morning, Springfield High!  Today is September 29, 2023 Attendance Office Phone Number - 525-3111 After School Tutoring is held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week in room 160 from 3:30 pm- 4:30 pm. Lunchtime tutoring is available for any student on either lunch shift in room 124. Students, please remember that the football games at Memorial Stadium and Spartan Field are school functions and all behavior guidelines will be enforced at all times during these games. Any inappropriate behavior displayed at these games will result in consequences that will be enforced by the administration of SHS. This includes behavior inside the stadium, as well as adjacent to the facility. 

The girls golf team claimed 2nd place out of 15 teams at the Regional yesterday in Rantoul. Leading SHS was an even par round 72 from Emma Scheffler to finish 2nd overall, Kendall Knauer carded an 80 for 7th place, Madelyn Beck shot an 86 for 10th place and Meher Garg rounded out the scoring with an 87 for 11th place. SHS advanced to the Sectional on Monday at Ironwood golf course in Normal. Congrats ladies.

The Springfield High School Girls Tennis Team played Jacksonville High School yesterday, coming away with a 6-3 victory. In singles, Myla Shannon, Madisyn Williams, Valentina Osgood, Audrey Delcomyn and Shelva Sewavi won. The doubles team of Nishi Korrapati/Ester Rossi also emerged victorious. In other doubles action, the teams of Audrey Delcomyn/Shelva Sewavi, Valentina Osgood/Sophia Bommarito, Caroline Scherschel/Annah Sharp, Taylor Ratts/Kalea Bender, Brooke Lyons/Annabelle Harris, Abby Shafer/Megan Bullock, Makenna Higgins/Jane Portugaliza, Chelsea DeCoke/Jadyn Mangold and Sophia Bommarito/Madisyn Williams claimed victories The Booster Club is looking for volunteers this year!  Homecoming dance is tomorrow, September 30th and tickets will only be sold at the door.  Cost of tickets are $15 each. Attention SHS athletes and students involved in extracurricular activities.

 The Mock SAT and PSAT will be October 4th.  Juniors and seniors, permission slips for mock testing are now available from your English teacher.  Seniors who turn in the permission slip may leave early on October 3rd and take a full service/work/college day on October 4th.  Juniors who turn in the permission slip may leave early on October 4th.  Permission slips are due to Guidance today at 3:30, no exceptions. The Chess club will be meeting after school from 3:17 to 4:15 in Mr. Hull’s Room (Room 216) on the first and third Fridays of every month to play and teach Chess!
