After School Tutoring is held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week in room 160 from 3:30 pm- 4:30 pm.

Lunchtime tutoring is available for any student on either lunch shift in room 124.

Students, please remember that the football games at Memorial Stadium and Spartan Field are school functions and all behavior guidelines will be enforced at all times during these games. Any inappropriate behavior displayed at these games will result in consequences that will be enforced by the administration of SHS. This includes behavior inside the stadium, as well as adjacent to the facility. 

Students, if you want to purchase single game, season, or year long passes to Springfield High School events, keep your eyes open for Go Fan Ticketing posters in the Commons, Cafeteria and Annex.  You can scan the QR Code, or go to GoFan.com to purchase you SHS tickets today.

luxefloralspringfield.net is offering SHS special Homecoming corsages for students - if you buy the wrist corsage, the boutineers are free. Luxe Floral will drop off the flowers at SHS on the day before the September 30th Homecoming Dance.

Homecoming tickets will only be sold at the door.  Cost of tickets are $15 each.

Spirit Days for the week:  Tomorrow is Decades and we will finish with color day on Friday!

The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, September 30th at SHS from 7-9 pm. If you are bringing a guest from another school, homecoming guest forms are available in the guidance office. Remember, all guests must be under 21 and have a picture ID at the door, in addition to having the guest form filled out entirely. Guest forms are due back in the guidance office by Thursday, September 28th at 3:30 p.m.

Attention SHS athletes and students involved in extracurricular activities. Fellowship of Christian Athletes meetings will be starting soon. To help decide when meetings will be, fill out the form from the QR codes posted on the fliers around the school. If you have any questions ask Mr. Lightfoot or Sam Hartl. 

The Mock SAT and PSAT will be October 4th.  Juniors and seniors, permission slips for mock testing are now available from your English teacher.  Seniors who turn in the permission slip may leave early on October 3rd and take a full service/work/college day on October 4th.  Juniors who turn in the permission slip may leave early on October 4th.  Permission slips are due to Guidance by Friday, September 29th at 3:30, no exceptions.

GSA will be Friday until 4 in room 366.

There will be an informational meeting for anyone NOT already registered for the Central Europe Trip summer of 2024 in the library Wednesday night 6:30 pm, just in time to make Solon Olympics. This will be the last opportunity to join without a price increase. If you can not make the meeting and are interested contact Mrs Eaton or Mrs. Emery.

Be A Senator will meet today after school in the cafeteria. All are welcome to attend!

Solon Olympics is here! To keep spirit week going and to get fired up for our Homecoming game we are bringing back Solon Olympics! Tonight from 7-8:30 the classes will compete against each other in volleyball, dodge ball, pyramid building, tug of war and other small contests. Will the seniors recover from their devastating powderpuff defeat? Will the freshmen bring a big group like the class of 26 did last year? Will the junior class make it three straight victories of junior class victories? All that and more answered this Wednesday at 7 pm!   Permission slips must be signed to participate. Slips are located in the main office. Each class wears a designated color: Seniors - white; Juniors - black; Sophomores - red; Freshmen - gray

Tonight is the Solon Olympics in the gym - everyone is welcome from 7 -8:30 p.m. but you must be on time. We lock the annex doors at 7:10 and do not allow late students. If you are participating in the games on the floor tonight, you must bring the parent signed permission slip available in the main office. If you want to come and hang out on the bleachers and cheer on your class, you don't need a permission slip. Make sure your ride picks you up on time - 8:30 p.m.

The Springfield High School Girls Tennis Team celebrated Senior Night last night against Sacred Heart-Griffin High School.  Though the meet was cut short by rain, the doubles team of Nishi Korrapati/Ester Rossi scored a victory.  In other action, the doubles teams of Abby Shafer/Megan Bullock and Nora Jasim/Hayden Thongsitavong claimed victories.  Great job and congratulations to our Seniors!

The girls volleyball team beat Decatur Eisenhower 25-9 25-10 last night in a conference game. Great job!

The JV soccer team defeated SHG 5-0 last night. Bruno Rosas, Mayango Jallah, Kaid Alamarri, and Liam Doyle scored for the Senators.  Jeffrey Strum earned the shutout.

SENIORS - senior pictures are in the auditorium today from 2:30 -3:30p.m. To be featured in the yearbook, make sure you get your picture taken by Lifetouch during one of the senior sittings. You will have one more opportunity after today on October 11th from 2:30-3:30.
