After School Tutoring is held Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday each week in room 160 from 3:30 pm- 4:30 pm.

Lunchtime tutoring is available for any student on either lunch shift in room 124.

Students, please remember that the football games at Memorial Stadium and Spartan Field are school functions and all behavior guidelines will be enforced at all times during these games. Any inappropriate behavior displayed at these games will result in consequences that will be enforced by the administration of SHS. This includes behavior inside the stadium, as well as adjacent to the facility. 

Students, if you want to purchase single game, season, or year long passes to Springfield High School events, keep your eyes open for Go Fan Ticketing posters in the Commons, Cafeteria and Annex.  You can scan the QR Code, or go to GoFan.com to purchase you SHS tickets today.

Juniors and Seniors - are you interested in healthcare careers? St. John’s College of Nursing in Springfield, Illinois is offering an after school program to teach high school students about nurses and their community. There are 12 Wednesday night sessions spread throughout October, November, December, February, March and April. Sessions will take place at St. John’s simulation Center from  4:30-7:30 p.m. Students must have their own transportation. Dinner is provided on class nights. If you are interested, you must apply. luxefloralspringfield.net is offering SHS special Homecoming corsages for students - if you buy the wrist corsage, the boutineers are free. Luxe Floral will drop off the flowers at SHS on the day before the September 30th Homecoming Dance.

Reminder Homecoming Court voting runs through 2:30 PM TODAY! Info and link to vote is on your class canvas page. See or email Mr. Kramer with any questions. Only one submission can be submitted by each student.

Spirit Days for next week:  Monday will be biker vs surfer, Dress your type Tuesday, Barbie and Ken for Wednesday, Decades on Thursday, and we will finish with color day on Friday! More info can be found on class canvas pages later this week!

The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, September 30th at SHS from 7-9 pm. If you are bringing a guest from another school, homecoming guest forms are available in the guidance office. Remember, all guests must be under 21 and have a picture ID at the door, in addition to having the guest form filled out entirely. Guest forms are due back in the guidance office by Thursday, September 28th at 3:30 p.m.

Join French Club!  Anyone can join for $5—see Madame Boltz in Room 268.  We will be having our first event today after school.

Attention SHS athletes and students involved in extracurricular activities. Fellowship of Christian Athletes meetings will be starting soon. Join fellow SHS students at See You at the Pole on Wednesday, September 27, as we participate in a day of prayer happening at schools worldwide! We will meet at 7:40 before school by the flag pole on the front lawn for a time of prayer and worship! If you have any questions, see Lydia Auble. Hope you can join us and See you at the pole!

The SHS Plant Club will have its first meeting of the year on Tuesday Sept. 26.  We will meet in Ms. Reinders room, 516, from 3:20-4:20.  Plant club is open to any SHS student that enjoys growing and learning about plants.  Please see or email Ms. Reinders if you have any questions or would like more information. 

The Lady Senators volleyball team beat Lanphier 25-5 25-10 at the City Tournament. The Senators were lead by Eva Hamann with 11 kills, 5 digs & 5 assists, Lily Lambert had 8 digs & 8 aces, Madison Clark 12 assists, Ruth Becker 5 kills & Franny VonDeBur 4 aces. We play SHG for the City championship at Southeast 7:00pm. Hope you all come out & support this team.

The boys golf team finished 5th at conference.  It was a close tournament with just 5 shots separating 2nd through 5th.  Julian Valenti finished 2nd overall with a 73 and earning all conference honors. James Oh carded a 77 and also earned all conference honors.  The boys travel to edwardsville next week for regionals.  

Open mats for boys and girls wrestling tomorrow will still be from 3:30-5:00 pm.
