Good morning, Springfield High! Today is May 19, 2023 Students and families: Please know we treat everyone with respect and kindness, and keep this school safe. Any kind of threat and/or unacceptable joke will not be tolerated and will result in school discipline. Please remember to report any form of bullying and ask for help from an adult if you need it. After school tutoring will be held every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30-4:30 pm in room 160.

The PS5 raffle ticket sales have been extended. Get your tickets from any football player or Coach Hebb or Kramer. Winners will be drawn on today 

The baseball team continued to make progress, as they beat CS8 Champ Glenwood by the score of 9 to 4. Ryne Crum was the Lite of the Night in leading the team both in pitching and hitting. He pitched a complete game allowing only 4 hits and 2 earned runs, while nearly matching the Titans himself with 3 hits of his own. A.J. Bennett broke the game open in the 3rd   with a bases loaded double driving in all 3 after Carter Kruse started things off with an RBI single. James Jenkins added a 2 RBI bunt in the fourth, and Seth Impson capped off the scoring with a long home run in the 7th. Next up is a double header this afternoon at Lincoln Land against Bartonville Limestone with a game one 4:30 start. 

 

There will be a short informational meeting for those interested in Girls’ Swimming and Diving in room 212 on Tuesday May 23rd at 3:30.

 

Interested in joining the girls tennis team next year for the 2023-24 season?  Please plan to attend an introductory team meeting on Tuesday, May 23 at 3:30pm in the Library. If you are unable to attend, please contact Coach Ingebrigtsen.

 

Please join the SHS band at their last concert of the year this Sunday at 2:00pm in the auditorium. It will be a great performance and we will recognize our seniors. There will also be cookies! Hope to see you there.

There will be a volleyball meeting on Wednesday May 24th after school in the cafeteria for girls who are interested in trying out for next year’s team. Summer schedule & Varsity Camp information will be distributed at the meeting.
