Good Morning Southeast students and staff, It's Thriving Thursday, January 26th, 2023!  Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning throughout the building.

Yesterday’s attendance percentage was 82.4% 

Thriving Thursday: 

Social Awareness- The ability to take the perspective of and empathize with others from diverse backgrounds, while also recognizing how your own culture and background may be perceived by others . It is the ability to understand social and ethical norms for behavior and to recognize related family, community, and school resources. 

Social Awareness is also a trending factor in workforce success. Infact, a recent study by The Partnership for 21st century skills suggested that 4 of the 5 most important skills for high school graduates to have regarding employability are related to social awareness. Skills like professionalism, collaboration, communication, and social responsibility are all crucial to professional success. 

Attention anyone interested in becoming a Southeast Spartan Cheerleader for the 2023-2024 school year there will be an informational meeting Monday, January 30th at 7pm in the school auditorium.  

City shirts are now on sale in the commons on both lunch shifts.  They are $10. 

Key Club is the oldest and largest service and leadership organization for high school students. It is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through service to others. If you are re you interested in becoming a Key Club officer next year, stop by room 110 to pick up an application.

This Friday, January 27th will be the last day to join the girls track. Practices are Monday through Friday 3:30-5:00 in the gym. 

City Tournament tickets are on sale in the Main office daily. 

They are $5.00 for everyone.

Any current 10th grader who is interested in CACC for next year needs to let Ms. O’Connor know by the end of the week.  If you have already submitted your top 2 choices to her, then you are good.  

Don't forget this week is Spirit Week for city tournament here are the days! 

Thursday: Duo Day (ex: Batman and Robin) or Twin Day

Friday:  Adam Sandler Day
