Good Morning Southeast students and staff, Its Shout out Friday, January 6th, 2023!  Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning throughout the building.

Shout Out Friday

It was an honor to watch our wrestling team compete in wrestling, their competitiveness made the long meet very exciting.

For those students who receive the free bus tickets and did not pick them up in November.  If you still are wanting bus tickets please let Mrs. Coleman know TODAY!!  As new bus tickets will be issued on Today and if you did not pick up your tickets in November they will be returned and you will not be issued any on Friday.  You will need to fill out a new application should you want them again once they are returned.

Night Credit Recovery at Lawrence Adult will begin next Tuesday the 10th. This will be the first night of registration, and students can come as early as 3pm with a parent to complete the registration paperwork. 

Any girls interested in trying out for the Softball team returning or new, please fill out the sign-up sheet outside of Coach Porter's office RM 175-A in the library. There will be an informational meeting @330pm on Jan 10th in the cafeteria, and open gym on Sundays, 12-2. 

Anyone interested in Baseball there will be Open Gym Sunday from 2-4 in the Gym.  Any questions please see Coach Leininger in room 218 or Coach Fisher in room 216.

The Asé club is meeting in the library Friday during both A and B lunch shifts. The library will be closed, so students will need to eat in the cafeteria, the commons, or utilize the silent lunch classrooms.

From the college room…

Happy last Semester of high school, Class of 2023!

Seniors - you should have already applied to your colleges or trade schools, completed your FAFSA, and should be working on Scholarship applications now. If not, see Ms. Jannazzo in the College Room 121 ASAP. 

Juniors - you should be researching colleges and trade schools, trying out different career pathways, working on building your resume, and studying for the SAT. SAT school day is April 12th.

Upcoming events

Monday, January 9th - St John’s School of Nursing will be in the college room at 1:00 to talk about their Nursing programs and direct entry for high school Seniors. If you would like to talk to St John’s School of Nursing, sign up in the college room or send an email to tjannazz@sps186.org to receive a pass.

Wednesday, January 11th - Lincoln Land Community College will be here to help students with their scholarship applications during both lunch shifts and throughout the afternoon. If you would like assistance with your LLCC scholarship application, stop by the college room during lunch on Wednesday or send an email to tjannazz@sps186.org to receive a pass for Wednesday afternoon.

Thursday, January 12th - Susana from ISAC will be here during both lunch shifts in the Library to assist with FAFSA, college applications, and scholarships. Stop by the Library Thursday during your lunch shift with any questions about college.
