Good Morning Southeast students and staff, it’s Thursday, November 10th, 2022  and I am Allysse Lewis. Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning throughout the building.

REMINDER: NO SCHOOL TOMORROW NOVEMBER 11TH for Veteran’s Day!

"Reminders for students eating lunch in the library:

 - Please keep talking to an appropriate noise level. Classes are in session during both shifts and others in the library are using it as a quiet space

 - Throw away your garbage as you exit the space

 - Push in chairs and leave the area as you found it"

Do you want some candy?  Do you want to help the community?  We have a win-win opportunity for you! Key Club will be collecting items for the Spartan Pantry. Bring your items to the lobby before school to exchange them for some candy.  

SENIORS: Jostens IS BACK TODAY from 7:30-12:30 in the Commons to take orders. Please make sure you have your deposits READY! 

District 186 Career Pathways Fair will be held on Tuesday, November 15 from 5-8 at Douglas United Methodist Church 501 S. Douglas.  You will be able to meet with local employers, learn more about high school career pathways and programming, and enter for a chance to win $100 in groceries or Illinois Basketball tickets. 

 

From the College room…

Today - SIU school of medicine will be in the library speaking to Early grads about Careers and how a Career differs from a job. If you are a Dec grad and have not received a pass to attend, please see Ms. Lewis or Ms. Jannazzo.

Get on the Bus with Erica Austin!!! Tomorrow-November 11th, take the bus and visit Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL. Registration and more information can be found on the College and Career Canvas page. See you on the bus with School Board member Erica Austin!

Southern Illinois University Carbondale - will be in the Commons during lunch November 28th.

Anyone interested in trying pole vault or other track and field events. There will be indoor track camps in November and December at Illinois College in Jacksonville.  For more information check out the website at IC.edu or contact Coach White at whitej9@sps186.org.
