Good Morning Southeast students and staff, it's Wednesday, October 18, 2022 and I am Allysse Lewis. Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning throughout the building.

Monday’s attendance percentage was: 83.58 percent.
If you are interested in trying out for the Capitols League of Legends team, please make sure you have joined the Discord for tryout information. Tryouts will happen Today and Wednesday, October 19th so do not delay. If you have any questions, contact coach Dalton McGhiey or speak to an esports team member.
Attention Key Club! We will have a meeting in Ms. Wilkinson’s room, 110, today, 3:25-3:45. We will also have an optional after meeting activity 3:45-4:45 to start advertising our upcoming food drive for the Spartan Pantry. Bring your completed volunteer hours sheet and dues if you have them.
21st Century is an afterschool program running Monday-Thursday that offers academic enrichment including tutoring for homework, life-skills, college prep, and other activities while being able to socialize among your peers. Program will be starting next week, however students may join at any time. Everyday attendance for students is not mandatory although it is suggested and we have two teaching/ tutoring positions available for teachers who are interested.

Graduates Class of 2023 - FAFSA 23-24 is now OPEN!
Want to go to the best college in the midwest? We are doing a Campus visit to Illinois State University in Bloomington/Normal on Nov 4th. Permission slips are available outside of the College Room (they are pink) and are due back by October 25th to the
College Room. Seats are limited. Return your permission slip ASAP to reserve your seat. Remember you must be on level and passing all classes to attend.

Today - Army at Lunch
Tonight - Historically Black College and University (HBCU) College Fair at Union Baptist Church from 4:00 - 7:00. This is a great event. If you are interested in HBCUs or State schools, please plan to attend!
Wednesday - 9:30am SIUe in the College room sign up to attend
Wednesday - 1:00p ROTC - ARMY officer training meeting in the College room sign up to attend
Thursday - Parent teacher conferences in the evening.
Friday - FAFSA and College application assistance in the SE Library during parent teacher conferences from Noon - 3:00.
Seniors...Remember to work on your applications to college…Apply by Halloween to be eligible for the most institutional scholarships!
Picture retake day is October 26th! This will be the last opportunity for senior pictures as well. Pictures will be taken 7:30-12 in the auditorium.
Remember there is NO SCHOOL Friday, Parent teacher Conferences all day.
Did you know Ms. Juneteenth is our own class of 2022 graduate Teairriona Harris! She will be hosting a fun night of dancing and bonding across our community on October 22 at the One In a Million Building on 700 S. Livingston Street. Come out and enjoy bonding and learning to dance with Ms. Juneteenth herself. Who knows, maybe you’ll even learn what it takes to become the next Ms. Juneteenth!
