SSHS ANNOUNCEMENTS

Friday, September 23rd, 2022

Good Morning Southeast students and staff, it's Shout out Friday, September 23rd, 2022. Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and schoolwide expectations and allow for learning throughout the building.

And now for a moment of silence to start our day:

Thank you.

Shout out Friday:

Its a sad day, I didn’t receive any shoutouts this week…but that doesn’t mean there wasn't a ton of tremendous things happening around our building! So instead shout out to the 89.7%.

Yesterday’s attendance percentage was: 89.7%.

For those students who receive the free bus passes, please stop in main office and pick them up.

Next Week…From the College room...

College Application Workshop - Wednesday, Sep 28 2:30 - 3:30 in the SE Library.

Marines at lunch Tuesday, Lincoln Land at Lunch Wednesday.

Do you like to take pictures???  We are looking for Spartans out and about making a difference!  There are numerous places around the building we can showcase our Spartans and that is just what we would like to do!  We would also like to flood social media with our students out there participating in activities, working, volunteering, or enjoying events around the City!  Are you out in the community volunteering or helping to make the community a better place?  Do you help or volunteer at your church?  Are you a member of a Spartan team? Are you doing something cool in a class?  We are looking for pictures of all kinds showing our Spartans out there standing tall!  Send those shots to Will Hopkins at whopkins@sps186.org or Mrs. Laub at jlaub@sps186.org.

SENIORS - FAFSA night is October 4th 5:30 - 7:30 in the SE Library. Bring your parent and your chromebook to this event! and memorize your Social Security number. FAFSA is the only way to receive Federal grants to help pay for college or trade school. I look forward to seeing you and your parent on Tuesday, October 4th in the SE Library 5:30 - 7:30.

Progress Reports went out yesterday. Remember you must be on level to attend Homecoming. You aren’t passing 5 out of 7? Don’t worry, you still have 2 weeks to bring up those grades.

Results are in and the theme of Homecoming  is Out of this World.  Don’t worry, you don’t have to dress according to the theme. It is just how the dance will be decorated.   However, remember there is a dress code at Homecoming.  No t-shirts and No sweatpants. You can wear jeans with a collared shirt.  All other school dress code is enforced.

There have been lots of questions about Homecoming Court— Here is some information.

Court will be broken down to 1 freshmen couple, 2 sophomore couples, 3 junior couples, and 5 senior couples.

ONLY seniors can win Homecoming Queen and King.  However, the underclassmen will get a free ticket to the dance and be able to represent their class at the football game and dance.

In order to run, you must fill out a Homecoming Court form and be on level.  These can be found in the main office .  Forms must be filled out and turned into by Thursday, September  29.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Barcik in Room 103.

Do you have what it takes to walk the runway? Southeast is starting a Modeling  Club, Auditions are Monday and Tuesday A & B Lunch in the Auditorium. Please come dressed and ready to show your style.  We are also looking for students that want to do make-up and hair.  See Ms. Walls- Butler with questions.

Now if you would, please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance

I pledge allegiance to the flag

of the United States of America,

and to the republic for which it stands,

one nation under God, indivisible,

with liberty and justice for all.

Thank you Spartans and have a great day!
