Good Morning Southeast students and staff, it's Thriving Thursday, September 21st, 2022. Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and schoolwide expectations and allow for learning throughout the building.

And now for a moment of silence to start our day:

Thank you.

Thriving Thursday: Todays theme is! Get organized!

Did you know that being organized reduces your stress levels, Increases quality of sleep, Promotes healthy lifestyle choices like diet and exercise, increases productivity (thats right, get more done in less time), and improves your relationships!

So yeah, we are still harping on you, using the planner, because its good for you! Today when you came in the building, you should have received a spartan planner success bookmark. Go ahead and mark your planner page, and follow the three simple instructions on the bookmark, to increase your organization!

Step 1: record the topic

Step 2: record the learning assignment

Step 3: record the win!

Yesterday’s attendance percentage was: 89.24%.

Almost to 90! Remember those free homecoming tickets are on the line, be here every day!

For those students who receive the free bus passes, please stop in main office and pick them up.

Campus visits! Seniors and Juniors - congratulations on making it through Progress Period 1:) Our first open campus visit is to the University of Illinois in Urbana/Champaign with Parkland Community College on October 18th. You must be on level and passing all of your classes to attend. We will be leaving SE at 7:30 and returning around 4:00pm. Remember our #1 Goal is Graduation! Permission slips for the U of I campus visit are available outside of the college room-they are Illini Orange-ish. Permission slips for the College Fair at the Fairgrounds are still available

for Drivers or Bus Riders. Also, the Financial Aid Planning lunch meeting is this Thursday in the SE Library. Sign up is outside of the college room.

Progress Reports went out yesterday. Remember you must be on level to attend Homecoming. You aren’t passing 5 out of 7? Don’t worry, you still have 2 weeks to bring up those grades.

Results are in and the theme of Homecoming  is Out of this World.  Don’t worry, you don’t have to dress according to the theme. It is just how the dance will be decorated.   However, remember there is a dress code at Homecoming.  No t-shirts and No sweatpants. You can wear jeans with a collared shirt.  All other school dress code is enforced.

There have been lots fo questions about Homecoming Court— Here is some information.

Court will be broken down to 1 freshmen couple, 2 sophomore couples, 3 junior couples, and 5 senior couples.

ONLY seniors can win Homecoming Queen and King.  However, the underclassmen will get a free ticket to the dance and be able to represent their class at the football game and dance.

In order to run, you must fill out a Homecoming Court form and be on level.  These can be found in the main office .  Forms must be filled out and turned into by Thursday, September  29.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Barcik in Room 103.

Now if you would, please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance

I pledge allegiance to the flag

of the United States of America,

and to the republic for which it stands,

one nation under God, indivisible,

with liberty and justice for all.

Thank you Spartans and have a great day!
