Hey Spartans, if you are ever absent or just want to go back to see announcements because something really cool caught your attention.

Go to the Southeast webpage, scroll down and you will see the current announcements. If you want to see older announcements, click on SEE ALL POSTS.

From there you can click on any date, and either view the video, or quickly read through the printed copy to find practice times, club announcements, or just general information.

Here are a few general reminders as we come back from our long winter break. 

Gift Card Giveaway Friday is still happening! If you are still referral free from October 23rd, then you are still in the running to win a $50 giftcard from Coach LT. All of the pictures that will be in the background during these announcements are previous winners of these gift cards. If you continue to stay referral free, you could win and anyone who has already won could win again.

Which brings me to the next reminder

Cell phone policy reminder! Cell phones can only be out and used in the commons and cafeteria during your lunch shift. So leaving class and walking to lunch does not count. Please put your cell phone off and away once we start the school day.

Please put your coats in your locker before going to class. DO NOT put your coat in a friend’s locker because we will not open that locker for you at the end of the day to get it. Only use the locker assigned to you! If you do not know where your locker is or your locker combination, go to the student office and Mrs. Currie will assist you. Thank you!

Speaking of Mrs. Currie she wants you to check the lost and found in the student office if you lost any item! Keys, clothing, jackets, shoes etc.. ANYTHING.

Sports

Conditioning for Girls Track will be Wednesday and Thursday of this week.  Thursday from 3:30-5 and Wednesday from 2:30-4.  We will meet in the Commons.  Bring running shoes and workout clothes.

There will be an open gym this Sunday, January 12th, from 12PM to 1:30PM at Springfield High School for any girl interested in softball. This will also be a chance to meet the coaches of the District 186 Coop softball team. Girls should enter the SHS gym off Parker Street. Be sure to bring your glove, tennis shoes and appropriate attire.

Football players you have a meeting to discuss off-season football training after school in room 216 on Wednesday, January 8th, after school until 2:45.

Congratulations to the new Girls Wrestling team who earned two first place finishes over winter break at the Joe Bee Memorial Tournament hosted by SHS & and the Crimson Ladies Holiday Invite at Jacksonville! Jazlyn Britton proudly represented Southeast High School and played a huge role in securing the win at Jacksonville as it was a close team score. Congratulations on her first win of the season!

The athletic office is still accepting $85.00 athletic fees from winter athletes.

JV Wrestling at LHS for the Jeff Gardner Tournament, starts at 9 AM

Varsity Wrestling at Morton High School, starts at 9 AM

Boys Basketball vs. Bloomington at Bloomington High School - JV at 1:00 PM and Varsity at 2:30 PM

Awards/Celebrations

Coach LT and Senator Doris Turner teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things were offered, but one thing everyone enjoyed and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone,headphones, and dress code referrals starting Wednesday, October 23. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards on announcements Friday mornings to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements!
