Teaching our students about voting and the election process is crucial because it empowers them to actively participate in shaping their community and country. Understanding their role in democracy encourages lifelong civic responsibility and reinforces that every vote matters. District 186 took this lesson a step further, as these students—who are now of voting age—had the monumental experience of walking to the county building and casting their votes! 🇺🇸
What a proud moment to see them exercise their right to vote and make their voices count. A big thank you to the Springfield Urban League Inc.&Faith Coalition for the Common Good
and everyone involved for making this event possible! ❤👏🏾👏🏿👏🏼👏🏽
