SE Spartan Announcements

Good Morning Southeast students and staff. It's Thursday, October 10th, 2024! I’m _____________.

Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and school-wide expectations, allow for learning throughout the building, and can think critically.

And now for a moment of silence to start our day…Thank you.

Hey Spartans, if you are ever absent or just want to go back to see announcements because something really cool caught your attention.

Go to the Southeast webpage, scroll down and you will see the current announcements. If you want to see older announcements, click on SEE ALL POSTS.

From there you can click on any date, and either view the video, or quickly read through the printed copy to find practice times, club announcements, or just general information.

Students listen to this reminder about the cell phone rules from Mr. Z.

We have about 900 students who have 1 or less referrals. From that about 700 students who are doing a great job and following all the school rules with no referrals! Keep it up, a surprise will be happening for you all soon!

Once you walk INTO the building in the morning at the 8:15 bell until your lunch shift and you are standing in the cafeteria or commons that phone and earbuds/headphones need to be OFF and AWAY. Then again OFF and AWAY once your lunch shift ends, not walking from lunch or until you get to the next class. What does that mean- you CANNOT have your phone out walking to or from the cafeteria/commons/courtyard, but once you are in those spaces for YOUR lunch shift you are free to be on them appropriately. Also, we are having a big increase in students with earbuds and phones out walking to the next class throughout the day. Reminders have been given to all students. Put them away, or you will be sent to the office. Thanks!

From the college room…

TODAY, the United States Air Force will be in the Commons at Lunch.

Seniors, you should be working on your college applications. On Wednesday, October 16th - Alex from ISAC and Ms. Jannazzo will be in the Library from 10:30 am to 12:30 to assist with any college or trade school applications. Send tjannazz@sps186.org an email to receive a pass.

Clubs/Opportunities

Art club will be meeting TODAY, in room 104, and will end at 4:30. Please make sure your rides are aware and you are prepared to leave the building and campus shortly after art club is over. Thanks!

Key Club will meet on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, in room 110.  We will be holding elections for this year's Officer Board.  There will not be an after-meeting activity.  The meeting should be over by 4:00.  Please plan your rides accordingly.

Drama club crew members, we need your help painting on Tuesday 10/15 after school. Thank you!

Today is the day! I hope you dressed up as your favorite character. See Ms. Thompson in the library to guess the character today and earn an extra chance to win this week's gift card if you are dressed up too!

Sports

TONIGHT, Thursday, October 10th is senior night for girls' volleyball. Don't miss this exciting match against Lanphier High School.
