SE Spartan Announcements

Good Morning Southeast students and staff. It's Friday, October 4th, 2024! I’m _____________.

Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and school-wide expectations, allow for learning throughout the building, and can think critically.

And now for a moment of silence to start our day…Thank you.

General Inf0

Hey Spartans, if you are ever absent or just want to go back to see announcements because something really cool caught your attention.

Go to the Southeast webpage, scroll down and you will see the current announcements. If you want to see older announcements, click on SEE ALL POSTS.

From there you can click on any date, and either view the video, or quickly read through the printed copy to find practice times, club announcements, or just general information.

Students as the weather starts to get a little bit cooler please remember the school rules for dress code.  No coats are to be worn in the classroom and your hoodies and or sweaters need to be worn correctly.  This means completely on with two arms through it or off.  At Southeast High School, we do not wear our hoodies half on or half off.  Thank you!

Clubs/Opportunities

Poetry Club will meet today in room 109 from 3:30-4:00pm. Please see Mrs. Collins with any questions!

This week's First Chapter Friday book is Belladonna by Adalyn Grace. Go to the SSHS Canvas Library Page and listen to Ms. Thompson read chapter one then come to the library to check it out to read this weekend.

Please watch this video from our librarian, Mrs.Thompson.

Sports

Academic eligibility is run every Friday at 1 PM for all student athletes. Athletes must be passing 5 of 7 classes to be eligible to play the next week. These checks are not random and Mrs. Williams would prefer you not fail ANY classes. Set high expectations for yourself and consider participating in college sports as a real possibility.

If you are trying out for wrestling, boys swim, or basketball, you must be passing 5 of 7 classes to compete. If you are an upperclassmen, you also have to have earned a 2.0 GPA last semester. If you need help, please see Mrs. Williams or a guidance dean.

Remember to Check the Southeast Athletics webpage for the full sports calendar.
