Hey Spartans, if you are ever absent or just wanting to go back to see announcements because something really cool caught your attention.

Go to the Southeast webpage, scroll down and you will see the current announcements. If you want to see older announcements, click on SEE ALL POSTS.

From there you can click on any date, and either view the video, or quickly read through the printed copy to find practice times, club announcements, or just general information. 

New

Spartans! Southeast High School will hold a Sadies Hawkins Dance on Friday March 1, 7-9 pm. Tickets are $10 a person. If your date is not a Southeast Student please pick up a permission slip in the main office. Tickets will be on sale during lunch.

SOPHOMORES, Jostens will be here TODAY, February 20th from 11am to 12:30pm AND also on Wednesday, February 21st from 7:30am to 12pm to collect your class ring order forms and to get your ring size. Be sure to design your ring online and bring your completed order form and down payment to get your order started on Tuesday or Wednesday. If you missed the meeting, packets are available in the guidance office.

Taste of Black History - Wed, Feb 28th (2:30 - 5pm). In the Commons. Free Food, Games and Trivia!

We have Black History Spirit week Feb 26-March 1. The best dressed will receive a prize each day! 

Monday-Black and Bold (wear all black) 

Tuesday- Do it for the culture (Represent a country)

Wednesday- Wear a black history shirt or red/black/green shirt

Thursday- camo day

Friday- Throwback. 

Get those outfits ready!

Clubs/Opportunities

New

Key Club is going to have a meeting on Monday, February 26 in room 110 from 3:25-3:45.  We will also have an after-meeting volunteer activity until 4:45.  Please bring any volunteer opportunities and hours sheets to turn in.

Don't forget to stop by the library to sign up for our first book lover's club meeting. It will be during lunch on Thursday, February 22. There will be snacks and bookish items, and you can check out books, sit and talk about book recommendations or you can just sit and read. You need a pass the day of the meeting, so make sure to see Ms. Thompson in the library to sign up for your lunch shift.

Next FAFSA completion is Feb 28th during the school day. Stop by or email Ms. Jannazzo if you have questions.

An informational meeting for cheerleading tryouts will be held on Monday, February 26th at 6pm in the commons.

Boys soccer players are required to turn in their clean jerseys and shorts to the main office by February 23rd. Make sure the secretary collects your name when you turn these items in. 

SOFTBALL Try-Outs will be on February 26th at 3:30pm. Meet Coach Porter in the gym. If you have any questions please reach out to Coach Porter.

Anyone who is interested in playing BASEBALL this year should attend the meeting Next Wednesday February 21st in Room 218 immediately after school.  If you have any questions please see Coach Leininger in room 218 during the day.

Anyone interested in joining the Southeast Cheer Squad there will be an informational meeting on Monday February 26th at 6pm in the Southeast Commons.  Official tryouts will be in April! 

All students have received an athletic interest survey by email. All 9th - 11th graders are asked to complete the survey and indicate what sports they are interested in for next year. Mrs. Williams can also use the data for other purposes, including getting more participation in sports next year. Remember, if you plan on participating in fall sports, you must have a 2.0 semester GPA this spring.
