Take mental breaks where you stop-breathe slowly-imagine your safe/calm space, and move on with your day. Take 20-30 minutes in your evening to just be still, quiet, eat mindfully, enjoy nature, or just spend a few minutes doing whatever brings you peace. Attention students, if you have been suspended from school for any reason, you are on the no pass list. This means you may not get passes to leave class until the end of the semester. Vanderbilt University will be at Southeast this Friday during 6th hour in Mr. Schudel’s room 120. Sign up to meet with the Representative for Vanderbilt on the table outside of the College Room to receive a pass. Upcoming Lunch visits in the Commons MTI - will be here today, Wednesday Army - will be here Thursday Next week on Monday, the Air National Guard and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville will be in the Commons during lunch. Juniors and Seniors - October 4th is the Education Fair at the Orr building. Permission slips are available on the table outside the College room - they are green:) School pictures are Monday, September 18 in the auditorium. Order packets have been distributed, but you can find an order form online. Seniors-If you are trying to possibly graduate in December, you need to see Mrs. Metz so that she has your name on her list. You will receive a contract to fill out and return to her. If you do not let her know, you will not be on the list for a contact! Please make sure to get this done asap if this is your intended plan!!!! Seniors—come vote today and tomorrow for Homecoming Queen and King in the commons. Attention students interested in attending homecoming, this is a reminder that if you have been suspended for any reason prior to the homecoming dance, you are not allowed to attend. Please do not purchase a ticket if you have been suspended from school, as you may not get your money back, and you will not be allowed to enter the dance. Spartans— the homecoming dance is Saturday, September 23 from 7-9 here at Southeast High School. Tickets are $10. If you are bringing a date that does NOT attend Southeast, you MUST fill out a date request form. These can be found in the main office and are due back by Wednesday, September 20. ㅡ Clubs/Opportunities9/14-9/15 9/14-9/21 9/8-9/14 | New Student Council, there will be a meeting Friday after school in Room 103. It’s important that you are in attendance. Hey, want to learn how to sword fight, as well as participate in an olympic sport. Then come join the Fencing club. Tryouts will be held in the Commons on Thursday Sept. 21st. If you have any questions or need more information, please see Mr. Finney in rm 175G in the Library. He’d love to discuss it with you Reoccurring Readers book club starts this week. If you are interested in gathering to talk about good books while making friends and eating snacks, go to room 105 TODAY. Once again, book club is TODAY 9/14, after school, in Ms. Jones’ room—105. The meeting will last until 4PM. Blue Crew will be having its second meeting TODAY 9/14 after school in Mrs. Collins' room 107 from 3:30-4:00pm. We will be voting for officers, so be sure to attend!
