Hello from the College and Career room…

To see what is happening or who is coming to visit…click on the College and Career Canvas calendar or stop by the table outside of the College Room.

Vanderbilt University will be at Southeast this Friday during 6th hour in Mr. Schudel’s room 120. Sign up to meet with the Representative for Vanderbilt on the table outside of the College Room to receive a pass.

Upcoming Lunch visits in the Commons

MTI - will be here today, Wednesday

Army - will be here Thursday

Next week on Monday, the Air National Guard and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville will be in the Commons during lunch.

Juniors and Seniors - October 4th is the Education Fair at the Orr building. Permission slips are available on the table outside the College room - they are green:)

School pictures are Monday, September 18 in the auditorium. Order packets have been distributed, but you can find an order form online.

Seniors-If you are trying to possibly graduate in December, you need to see Mrs. Metz so that she has your name on her list.  You will receive a contract to fill out and return to her.  If you do not let her know, you will not be on the list for a contact!  Please make sure to get this done asap if this is your intended plan!!!!

Juniors and Seniors-If you leave prior to 7th hour, you MUST leave through the Taylor Street Lobby.  There are no exceptions.  If you do not and are caught leaving out any other doors, you will receive consequences and your schedule will be adjusted.

Reoccurring 

Attention students interested in attending homecoming, this is a reminder that if you have been suspended for any reason prior to the homecoming dance, you are not allowed to attend. Please do not purchase a ticket if you have been suspended from school, as you may not get your money back, and you will not be allowed to enter the dance. 

Calling all juniors and seniors.  Now is the time for Homecoming Court.  Get your forms today in the main office to represent your class at the football game and dance. Seniors—can get the chance to win queen and king.  Forms are due back to the main office by September 13.  Any questions, see Mrs. Barcik in room 103. 

Spartans— the homecoming dance is Saturday, September 23 from 7-9 here at Southeast High School.  Tickets are $10.  If you are bringing a date that does NOT attend Southeast,  you MUST fill out a date request form.  These can be found in the main office and are due back by Wednesday, September 20.  Any questions, please see Mrs. Barcik in Room 103. 

Let’s get ready for Homecoming with spirit week next week the week of September 18th-21st.  Let’s get pumped and get those outfits ready!

Monday (Sept 18):  BBQ dads vs. Soccer Moms

Tuesday (Sept 19): Pajama Day vs. Professional Day

Wednesday (Sept 20): USA Day

Thursday (Sept 21): Blue/Gold Day/Toga Day for Seniors

There will be prizes for students dressed up!!!   So be creative but make sure you are school appropriate!

Clubs/Opportunities

Readers book club starts this week. If you are interested in gathering to talk about good books while making friends and eating snacks, go to room 105 on Thursday after school. Once again, book club is Thursday, after school, in Ms. Jones’ room—105. The meeting will last until 4PM.

Blue Crew will be having its second meeting this Thursday after school in Mrs. Collins' room 107 from 3:30-4:00pm. We will be voting for officers, so be sure to attend! If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Collins or Mr. Biggers!

Attention Key Club: If you plan on volunteering at the ALS walk on Saturday, please stop by Mrs. Wilkinson’s room (110) to sign up.  There is a sign-up on the door.
