Good Morning Southeast students and staff, it's Shout Out Friday May 19,  2023! Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning throughout the building.

And now for a moment of silence to start our day…Thank you. 

ITS SHOUT OUT FRIDAY!  Here are this week's shout outs!: 

Shout out to Ms. Friday and the Spanish club for sharing their wonderful guacamole with me- Ms. Weitekamp

Shout out to all those that planned the retirement party.  Mrs.Barcik, Mrs. O’Connor, and Miss Johnson. It was very nice. - Mrs. Manns

Ms. Tintori would like to shout out all of her speech classes.  Congratulations for making it through and overcoming a common fear of public speaking. She is proud of you and you all should be proud of yourselves.  

Ms. Farrar wants to shout out Ms. Hiler and Ciara Esper because "she always stays positive and gives good vibes".

Shout out to Jessica Li.  She accompanied the choir on their Spring concert.  She annihilated those piano keys!  Watch out for her….she’s coming up!!!! And Shout out to Kian Rawe for turning in a wallet that he found.  Thank you for showing integrity and doing the right thing. - Mrs. Stoutenborough

Shout out to Mrs. Hinds entrepreneurship students who attended the field trip last week! A great group of students, who I enjoyed spending the day with.-Mrs. Hinds

Shout to Alannah Lowery, Melodi Victory, Ameeria Jackson, Amore Hopson, Jurni Rice, and Shaniyah Howze who are competing at State track and field today!  Good luck girls!

Attention Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors…do you want to represent your class in student council next year.  Forms are now out and in the main office and need to be returned by this Friday May 19th.  If you have any questions please see Mrs. Barcik in room 103. 

Jostens will be at Southeast for the class ring ceremony for students who ordered class rings, Tuesday, May 23rd during both lunch shifts.  Jostens will be in the auditorium. 

Any boys interested in playing soccer this fall there will be an informational meeting and sign up sheet TODAY at noon in the auditorium.  There will be a sign up sheet during lunch A if you are interested in playing. 

The SSHS GSA club will be marching in this year’s Pridefest Parade this coming Saturday, May 20. T-shirt sales have closed, but they do a few extras for people who want to join them when they walk in the parade. These are first-come/ first-served, so email Mr. March if you’d like to join!

From the Library: "All library materials are due back by today!  Remember, students, you have access to free ebooks and audiobooks through SORA and the Lincoln Library all year round, so if you are not sure how to access these materials, see Ms. Thompson in the library before summer break begins.

Southeast Spartan family, The Lady Spartan Basketball players are now selling tickets for pull pork dinners. Dinners will include pulled pork sandwich, baked beans and coleslaw.  Tickets are $10 and dinners can be picked up Saturday May 27 at the Taylor Street entrance.  You will also be able to purchase dinners the day of the event.  See any Lady Spartan basketball player or see Coach Collins to purchase your ticket.

The 2023 Spartan Yearbook has been delivered to the building. Do you want a copy? Stop by the Main Office or room 206 to buy your copy.  A supplement with spring sports and events as well as graduation will be created and delivered this summer. The cost is $75. 

Bus tickets are here in the main office.  Please make sure to go to the main office to pick up your bus tickets today.

Attention students please check out the lost in found in the student office.  All items still here June 1st will be thrown away!

Attention seniors there will be a community grad trunk party held this Saturday, May 20th at 1100 South Grand East (the old beauty and wireless center building) from 12-4pm.  The first 200 seniors in attendance that can show proof of attending college, trade school, or military after graduation will win a “trunk” filled with things every college student needs.  There will be a live DJ, food, and door prizes! Join in on the fun as we support your future. 

Attention students, Summer School forms are out now.  Summer school is for credit recovery purposes only.  If you are wanting to take courses to get ahead or to try to graduate early, you will have to wait until next semester and take night classes at Lawrence Adult.  If you need to recover credits, please see your assistant principal in the Guidance Office to get a summer school form filled out and signed today.
