Good Morning Southeast students and staff, it's Cinco de Mayo May 5,  2023! Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning throughout the building.

And now for a moment of silence to start our day…Thank you. 

Thank you all for being here today, the BBSS team is proud to see you attending and grinding during what we can call crunch time! Look for our table for a special treat during lunch. If its sunny we’ll be in the courtyard, and if is not we’ll be in the cafeteria. Way to attend as a means to excel! 

Shout out Friday:

Shout out to Ms. Goodrich for all your hard work as department chair - way to go above and beyond for students and staff. - Thompson

Shoutout to Jen Sullivan for her excellence as an inclusion teacher.   She is an excellent teammate. - Potter

The language teachers hosted discussions with 2 Rotary Youth Exchange students last week. Mrs Friday’s Spanish classes were ready for questions in Spanish. Shout out to Señora Friday and her classes.  Ms. Malany

I would like to give a shout out to Mrs Buecker, Miss Bloch, and Mrs Pettersen for being the glue that holds the life skills room together day in and day out. - Mr K.

Shoutout to all the upcoming 2023 graduates, on all your hard work, doing what you need to do to walk that stage. Good luck on all your future endeavors! You can reward that if it doesn’t sound right!!! - Currie

Shout out to Ms. Thompson for the AMAZING job she has done with bringing our library back to life and the fun staff bulletin board ideas in the library as well! What a great addition to Southeast!  - Ms. Lewis

I want to shout out Mrs. Cotner and Ms. Marley for doing the announcements in your place.  They do a GREAT JOB!! -Mr. Walls

Hey, are you in need of a prom dress? Any juniors or seniors who need prom dresses, please see Ms Sellars in guidance or Ms Thompson in the library! 

Seniors, The sign up sheet for the staff senior dodgeball game is in the main office! Be sure you sign up in order to participate. You must also be passing 5 of 7 classes and have zero suspensions for this school year. A mandatory pre-game meeting will be held after school in room 103 on Wednesday, May 10th.

Oh and freshman sophomores and juniors, you thought we forgot about you. No you can’t get in the staff dodgeball game, but you can make sure your class reigns supreme! We will have class war tug of wars in between the dodgeball games! Round one will feature freshman vs seniors and sophomores vs juniors. The winners of that round will then compete in the championship! Which class will rule the school on the 12th? You have to sign up for a chance to rep your class!

From the Library: 

"The last day to check out books in the library is Friday, May 12."

"All library materials are due Thursday, May 18. 

Remember, students, you have access to free ebooks and audiobooks through SORA and the Lincoln Library all year round, so if you are not sure how to access these materials, see Ms. Thompson in the library before summer break begins.

The 2023 Spartan Yearbook has been delivered to the building and will be handed out Wednesday, May 10! Do you have your copy ordered? Stop by the Main Office or room 206 to place your order. It is $70 and $75 on May 10th.
