IAR

The IAR (Illinois Assessment of Readiness) Testing for LMS will begin tomorrow, March 18th and will continue on the 19th and 20th for all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. We are striving for 100% attendance on each of these dates. Please help support our goal.

The Illinois Assessment of Readiness measures the Illinois Learning Standards and includes high-quality test questions that teachers and students have become familiar with over the past four years. To learn more about the IAR testing format and content, you and your child may access online practice tests at  https://il.mypearsonsupport.com/practice-tests/.

Adequate rest makes a difference! Please encourage your child to go to bed at a reasonable time. Nutrition also influences how well children do on test; a good breakfast is important, but it doesn’t have to be a large meal. All LMS students are eligible for free breakfast at LMS. :-).

Please help your child be at school and on time. If your child has an appointment please call the main office as soon as possible so that we can be prepared. Once a testing session has started no one will be able to enter or leave the classroom until the testing session has completed.

Please make sure your child has a fully charged laptop when they come to school and working earbuds.

LMS is confident that our students will continue to demonstrate high levels of achievement on this state assessment. They have been learning at high levels all year and we are very proud of their hard work and dedication!

Happy Testing!
