School Picture Day is this week!
The Aug 24th school picture day will be for 9th, 10th, and 11th grade.
No Senior pictures will take place this week on 8/24.
Picture retake day is 9/20 for all grades 9th-12th.
We were so excited to meet the Class of 2027 today! Freshman Forward was a success! We know our building is under construction and things might have seemed a little out of place today, but we promise you that the best is yet to come! Lanphier is a great school filled with great faculty, staff, and students!

SE/LHS Girls Golf Coop: Girls interested in participating in this year's Girls Golf Team should attend practice on Thursday, August 10 at Pasfield Golf Course. Please show up at 12:45 p.m. for a 1:06 tee time.

Freshman Forward is this week!!! We invite all incoming Freshman to attend this event!
This event is an opportunity for incoming freshman to meet other freshman, upperclassmen, teachers and administration at their high school.
Students will get to tour the facility and learn more about their high school experience.
Students need to report to their high school that is in their boundary area.
Students can use the school bus service or be dropped off at their high school.
FALL SPORTS UPDATE
Attention any Lions that are planning on playing fall sports: Practice information is listed below. Remember that you will need a sports physical and to fill out the appropriate paperwork to play. Be sure to arrive at your practices before they start, stay hydrated and protect yourself from the sun!
Football: Any returning LHS students and incoming 9th grade students interested in participating in football should attend practices beginning on Monday, August 7 @ LHS. Meetings will begin at 3:50 p.m., please use the main entrance off of Converse Street. Meetings will be held Monday through Friday at 3:50 p.m. with on field practices beginning at 4:45 pm-7:30 or 8:00pm.
Girls Golf: First practice will be held on August 14th at Knights Action Park. Please be there by 4:30 p.m. A Parent Meeting will take place following following the player meeting at 5:30 p.m. If you have any questions, please reach out to Coach Jannazzo via email (tjannazz@sps186.org).
Boys Golf: Please email Coach O’Bryen (sstults@sps186.org) if you are interested in participating in Boys Golf.
Girls Volleyball: Calling all interested Lanphier Girls! The Lanphier Volleyball Team is going to hold tryouts August 8th from 6-8 p.m. There will be a Parent meeting on August 11th at 6 p.m.
Boys and Girls Cross Country: Beginning Monday - Thursday from 8:00-9:00 a.m. Meet Coach Daniel at the Converse Street Doors closest to the track. Please bring plenty of water and sunscreen!
Girls Tennis: If interested in Girls Tennis, please meet Coach Kinzer at the Southeast Tennis Courts (Directly across the street from Southeast High School on Tuesday, August 8 at 3:45 p.m. If you have a tennis racquet, please bring it to practice. Please bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
Boys Soccer: Soccer will hold 2 practices a day Aug. 7th -Aug. 10th. The first practice each day is from 8:30-10:00 a.m. The second practice is in the late afternoon from 4:00-5:45 p.m. Coaches will arrive at each practice 15 minutes before start time. Please be ready to start by the practice start time listed. Boys Soccer practices will be held at SSHS. Meet behind SSHS, in front of the football field by the teacher's parking lot. Please bring water and sunscreen.

Due to the power outage, the Administrative Office is closed. If you need immediate assistance, please contact the Business Office at 217-525-3040. We expect to resume normal operations Monday, July 3.
All summer school programs and SCOPE are canceled Friday, June 30, to allow maintenance staff to assess and clean up buildings and grounds.
We expect all programs to resume next week as normally scheduled.
All students and staff in summer programs are safe. Buses will run at the normal time, but routes may take longer due to traffic or blocked streets. Families are welcome to pick up students early. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority.
