LHS Daily Announcements

-Attention lovebirds! Starting Tuesday, January 21st, place your orders for Valentine's Day flowers and chocolates to show those you care about how much they mean to you! Carnations and chocolates can be ordered for $1.50 and roses are on sale for $2.50. Orders will be taken during lunch in the atrium through February 7th with delivery on Valentine's Day, Friday, February 14th. 

-Girls Track and Field official first day of practice will be Monday January 27th from 3:30-5:15pm. You must be passing your classes and a 2.0 GPA or better and have a current athletic physical on file. Have an athletic permit card filled out and pay a $85 athletic fee. Any questions see Coach Napier or Coach Daniel.

-The Black Student Union is excited to kick off the new year with our first meeting on Wednesday, January 15 at 2:30 pm in Mr. Jackson's room, 3-041. At this meeting, we will discuss our missions and open the floor for your ideas and suggestions. This is a great opportunity to meet new people, share your ideas, and make a difference. We hope to see you there.

-There will be a parent meeting TODAY at 6:30PM at Springfield High School, for any girl interested in playing softball for the District 186 Co-op team. The meeting will be in the SHS commons. Parents can park in the washington street parking lot and walk across to the Commons doors. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Hampsey. 

- Unity Day 2025 will be held on Saturday, January 25th in the lower level of the BOS Center from 11am - 1pm. Let’s Represent the Northside! Lanphier, it’s time to show up and show out! Stop by the sign-up tables during both lunch shifts next week for your chance to snag a free shirt and enjoy some food while connecting with students from all 186 high schools. Don’t let the Northside miss its moment—join the movement, make new friends, and show everyone what Lanphier pride is all about. There will also be a chance to win a ticket for Saturday’s game If you sign up and show up so sign up this week and let’s make it a day to remember!"

-Art club will take place after school on Tuesdays after school in Mr. Wilson’s room. 

-Step Club meetings will take place on Mondays from 3:30pm-4:30pm in the Hall of Fame Area of the atrium. Mrs. Miller will be creating a Canvas and Rooms page and would like all interested students to join both. Members will get a page with a code for parents to join as well. If you need more information, please come see Mrs. Miller from the Student Support Services department in Room 02-042. 

-Crochet Club will take place on Thursdays after school in Mrs. Cookson’s Room.
