-This week’s “Take Care Tuesday” tip is brought to you by The Peace Room: Take Deep Breaths. Breathing helps more oxygen travel to all your organs and tissues. Your body obviously does this naturally. But sometimes you need a moment to really slow down and just rejuvenate your body and mind. Just a reminder that the Peace Room is open every Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday in Room 149, through the Library, and to the left. Please utilize this room as needed and let an adult know that you need to access this resource.

-Students - We need each of you to listen to this important announcement.  We want our school to be safe.  We want our school to be a place that is fight free and a place where any form of bullying is not allowed.  We want you to feel safe on your phones, on social media and in person at school.  We need you to be respectful. Ask for help from an adult if you need help, and NEVER choose physical violence as a way to solve your problems. If you see something that doesn’t sound or seem right - tell someone right away.  The students and adults that attend and work in this school deserve to be safe at all times.  Fighting will not be tolerated and we will utilize consequences if you make the choice to bully students in person or online or if you choose to fight at school. Help make District 186 a place where everyone is proud to work and learn.

-Drama Club will meet in Room 244 after school this Thursday for a Zoom call with alumni Alyssa Sammons, former Drama Club president and co-creator of the LHS Fine Arts Fest.

-Now for a moment of silence.

-Please Rise for the Pledge of Allegiance.

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

-And now it’s time for today’s welcoming ritual. Please take a minute to discuss your response with your class: This is the first week of the final quarter of the school year, looking back at the past three quarters, what is one thing you are proud of or feel like you have accomplished so far this school year?

Have a great day Lions.
