Exciting news! WICS ABC Newschannel 20 is teaming up with District 186 to celebrate National Reading Month! Several familiar faces from the TV news station are spreading the joy of reading by visiting some of our elementary schools throughout the month for special guest reading sessions.
Today, Iles School had the pleasure of hosting morning show anchor, AJ Gersh , in Ms. Sharp's 1st-grade class. A.J. captivated the students with an awesome story called "Reach For The Stars". The kids were so engaged and even had many questions for A.J. after he finished reading! It's incredible to see how much our students enjoy connecting with community members through these read-alongs.
