It’s the LAST and FINAL night of the Bank of Springfield City Tournament, and ALL FOUR schools showed up ready to BALL. The energy? Unmatched. The vibes? Immaculate. Let’s recap the first two games that set the tone for an unforgettable night:
Game 1: Southeast Spartans 🆚 Lanphier Lions (Girls)
The Spartans came out STRONG, bringing their A-game and walking away with the W! 💙💛 The cheerleaders showed UP, delivering jaw-dropping stunts, jumps, and routines that had the crowd on their feet. Every year, the talent just keeps leveling up, and this year was no exception!
Game 2: Lanphier Lions 🆚 Southeast Spartans (Boys)
This one was for the books. The Lions had their eyes on the prize, vying for the OUTRIGHT TITLE 🏆, and they didn’t disappoint! They took down the Spartans in a hard-fought battle, sending the crowd into a frenzy as the Northside celebrated with the trophy held high! 🦁🎉

The final two games of the Bank of Springfield City Tournament did NOT disappoint. The energy in the gym was ELECTRIC, the vibes were unmatched, and the competition was next level. Let’s break it down:
Game 3: SHS Senators 🆚 SHG Cyclones (Girls)
The crowd was 🔥🔥 as the Senators hit the court, bringing their all. But in the end, the Cyclones secured the W in a hard-fought battle. This game had BIG stakes, and with that win, the girls’ championship ended in a three-way tie! SHS, SHG, and Southeast—ALL crowned City Champs this year! 🎉💪 Huge congrats to the lady ballers for leaving it all on the floor this week!
Game 4: SHS Senators 🆚 SHG Cyclones (Boys)
The final game of the tournament was one for the history books. Both teams went bucket-for-bucket, and the crowd? ON THEIR FEET the entire time! The Scarlet Line turned halftime into a showstopper, bringing ALL the moves and ALL the vibes. In the end, the Senators pulled ahead, taking the W and capping off City with a massive celebration! ❤️🤍 The roars in the gym were LOUD, and it was nothing but pure City Magic.
🎉 To close it all out, Horace Mann presented the Gary Sullivan Spirit Award to Springfield High School for bringing the MOST energy and pride all week long! SHS—crowned the Spirit Champs! 👏
