Ridgely Elementary and Illinois Department of Agriculture | Illinois State Fair teamed up for a unique opportunity for the students at Ridgely!
Ms. Glovinsky, the art teacher, had all K- 5th grade students design and create their own postcard that captured their creative view of the Illinois State Fair. Students highlighted rides, food , the giant slide and more. Ridgely staff selected one postcard from each grade level as the winner!
Today, the whole school gathered for a special assembly that included Principal Jennifer Butcher, Superintendent Jennifer Gill & Illinois State Fair Manager Rebecca Clark, who presented ribbons to the winning postcard artists!
The 6 winning postcards will be printed and available for free in the Agriculture Tent, Emmerson Building & the Expo Building during the 11-day run of the Illinois State Fair in August.
