IACAC Scholarship

IACAC is pleased to offer ten $1,000 scholarships ($500 each semester, non-renewable) to students who exhibit a commitment to learning and have demonstrated leadership skills and/or community service involvement.

A separate $1,000 transfer scholarship is available from IACAC to a community college student to further his/her education at a four-year IACAC member institution.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be a graduating senior from an IACAC member high school (where at least one counselor is an IACAC member) with a GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

  • The applicant must enroll as a full-time, college freshman at a post-secondary institution (preferably at an IACAC member institution); and

  • The student must demonstrate involvement in high school, the community, or service to others with motivation to achieve personal goals.

Eastern Illinois President Doudna Memorial Scholarship

Dr. Quincy Doudna was president of Eastern Illinois University from 1956-1971, and guided the growth of the university. In his memory, each year a scholarship of at least $1000 is awarded to an incoming freshman student. 

Students must be graduates of an Illinois High School and have a GPA of at least 3 on a 4 point scale. 

The deadline for the Fall scholarship is March 15th.

EIU Scholarship Programs

  • EIU Promise
    EIU will offset the remaining balance of a student’s tuition and fee costs for resident families with an income of $61,000 or less.

  • EIU Cost Match
    EIU will match the out-of-pocket cost of attendance of any regionally accredited public university in Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio or Wisconsin. For example, if a student’s out-of-pocket cost at EIU is $5,000 and it’s $3,000 at a qualifying university, we’ll provide them with a $2,000 scholarship to match the difference.

  • EIU Merit Scholarship Bonus< br /> Any student who qualifies for our automatic Merit Scholarships will receive a $500 bonus per year if they are an Illinois resident. That makes the 4-year value of the scholarship anywhere from $10,000 to $18,000

Scholarship Information

The American Culinary Federation Education Foundation, with the support of the American Academy of Chefs, will award two scholarships each year. Each recipient will receive $2,500 per year for four years to be applied directly to the student’s account at the institution.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be an exemplary student. Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

  • Be a high school senior eligible to graduate the same year as the scholarship is applied for.

  • Be currently accepted to the institution with a major in either culinary or pastry arts.

At Caring.com, we understand the demanding lifestyle of student-caregivers and the challenges they may face. The Student-Caregiver Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who are caring for an adult relative while enrolled in college.

Several scholarships of $1,500 are awarded each year to student-caregivers to help cover costs of tuition and books. Applicants must be full-time college students at an accredited two-or-four-year college or university in the United States, or full-time high school students who are registered to attend a qualifying institution the following semester.
